  • pink floyd es mi religion

  • OMG the best version of the world for this music :O

  • Thumbs up if PULSE version is the best and not this one

  • @TaroGabunia Thumbs down, this one is the best :)

  • ROCK GODS...

  • Pink Floyd 1968-1981

  • ok... who the fuck clicked dislike.. i swear i hunt down and kill all 4 of you pig fuckers and rape your family

  • The 4 people who hit dislike probably did so as the best guitar solo EVER has been murdered due to bad editing choices :(

  • @Freeflyer91 The solo was awesome... in studio. I think he messed it up live. Especially on Pulse. It was OK on delicate sound of thunder, though.

I sure wish he would have played it live just like he did in studio. Man would it be something if he did. :)

  • Rogie Walters in this version , still has HAIR LOL

  • better than PULSE !

  • @MrFloyd4 DEFINITELY! They almost played too well on pulse. On delicate sound of Thunder, he didn't quite play so perfectly, but it felt right. On pulse, it was just too sterile and didn't capture that studio feel. That, in my opinion, is what really really shines about Delicate Sound of Thunder. :)

  • które 4 pały kliknęły na "nie"?

  • @CzarneSlonce9009 please , speak english ^^

  • @likolokoluko

it mean: "which 4 morons clicked "don't like"

sory if my english is not very well :D

  • The best version 4 ever!

  • This is my favourite pink floyd concert

  • My favorite version of the song.

  • Definately better than pulse:))

  • @Wheel8of9time That´s your opinion.... and mine too!!!

  • The first solo lift you up and the second release u in the eternity of your fantasy,in heaven... Amazing. Best ever!!!

  • this is my favourite from pink floyd

  • ok so anyone wondering on the vhs/dvd rip of this the solo is in fact longer than the cd version by that minute or so.

  • Best version of the best song ever. Masterpiece!!!!!

  • Are you referring to the P.U.L.S.E version? Or where can I see an unedited version of that second solo? Thank you!

  • second solo in this song is the best solo ever done live... HOLY CRAP

  • Comment removed

  • this is the VHS version and the solo is incomplete on it...the audio version is full and tooooo much better.

  • Awful... Some bastard crop the best part of solo... must be in jail.

  • This IS the best version of Comfortably Numb............... but WHY oh WHY have they cut out so much from the guitar solo.

    Come on !!

  • I use to listen to this when I was a little girl! My Dad would play it super loud. I never really knew who it was until I got older. Thanks Dad!

  • of the five times I've seen them live, mixed with how loud it was, this was his best solo for this song, no doubt. It was an outdoor venue, they focused the lasers on the clouds above the stadium, turning the whole cloud purple.Behind the female background singers(the best group they ever had) they had the wall lit up red,so you just saw the silouettes.Perfect job by the soundman, when Gilmore started doing the bit at 6:10 it was just shattering. You could actually feel it rattling your innards

  • Of all Comfortably Numb versions ... this one has the greatest solo ever!! better than pulse

  • Of all C.N. versions ... this one has the greatest solo ever ....

  • wooooooooooooooooooow

    PINK FLOYD at their BEST..........;))))))))))

  • Everyone who says this is their favourite version, Are you aware Nick Mason isn't playing in this version?

  • @rickheyes0 so at 6:55 we see who? elvis?

  • @rickheyes0 I clearly remember the video of this and yes, there was another percussionist playing but Nick Mason WAS onstage and playing the drums during this song and as well as all the others from this concert.

  • Gosh i wish this would be released on DVD.

  • dudes i still have this on vhs

  • Davids voice just soars

  • @SleeplessInMackay You're not the only one to wish for that.

  • @manero69 I wouldn't say Satch sucks, but David Gilmour can say a lot more with a lot fewer notes than most shredders.

  • this is bullshit. why would they cut out half the solo? fucking protools. anyways, the vocals are so much better than PULSE

  • This song still rocks harder than ever 20 years later!

  • this is mesmerizing. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkk

  • What, in my view makes pulse better, is the tone composition and placement, this appears more rushed wheread pulse is all very cohesive. Also this song weighs in at 7:18, whereas pulse weighs in at a whopping 10.28

  • My favourite version, the solo is truly epic!

  • i have the full uncut solo on my profile its longer then the version on the live album beats Pulse by a country mile

  • The best live version of this classic

  • Its the best !!! Ilove this concert

  • Such a shame some idiot cut out 1 min and 35 sec of the amazing parts of the second guitar solo, why would anyone make this wonderful video and then rape it of its full experience, ive listened to this song for over 25 years and to hear those parts missing is like getting my soul ripped out

  • @MikeFredensborg I was at this show. They did a lot of editing, most notably cutting all of "Welcome To The Machine" and some other songs. They were probably trying to get the length of the video down to about 90 minutes.

On the plus side, one of my friends is in this video. He's the guy in the baseball cap holding his fist in the air around 3:30.

  • @MikeFredensborg Are you referring to the P.U.L.S.E version? Or where can I see an unedited version of that solo? Thank you!

  • @MikeFredensborg agree 100%

  • @MikeFredensborg You are absolutely right!

  • @MikeFredensborg

    mike, i agree 100%!!!!

better to not even have it on the air then to be so terribly dissapointed and not hearing the whole of one of the greatest structured solo's of all time!

  • One of the best version ever! no doubt bout' it!

  • @electrojuancho i was there 5 nights in 1988...absolutely awesome..god i miss those days

  • KoolSpeed, it is definately better than PULSE in my opinion as well

  • Gilmore and Floyd awesome as always. I think the light show was a little bit better on the Pulse tour but hey, it's all good. The girls were definately hotter on this tour as was their performance of Great Gig in the Sky

  • this video cut twice!!! the best part is gone, this sucks!!!...

  • A fifth a final night of filming August 23 was added to the original series of shows. The concert shirts on sale only say August 19-22, but I still have the ticket stub for the 23rd. Incredible show. I was in tenth grade, I recall nearly two years later HBO aired the Delicate Sound of Thunder concert. I was awestruck again.

    Take care,

  • @sgessler1973 i was there at nassau coliseum...i remember it well 5 nights

  • @sgessler1973 I was at the show on the 21st. Definitely a great one.

  • Blows my mind

  • This was filmed from August 19-23 1988 at Nassau Veterans Coliseum, Uniondale Long Island NY. I know because I was in row 5 from the band.

  • @sgessler1973 great info cause i thought it was in paris bercy thanx .....

  • LOL... this video is crap... Solo is distroyed by edition. Fuck this video for real.

  • The vocals arrangement is far better than original version. Not mentioning solo... best of ever.

  • This is so mezmerizing with the light show.Would have loved to have been there. Great music and musicians.

  • @alexandriabay1 - did, twice. none better

  • @thepcguru55 sorry for the other bands but PINK FLOYD belongs to fare away galaxy ..........

  • The best version ever!

  • This is the best version of Comfortably Numb, period.

If you don't agree, you're on crack. :)

Beats the stuffing out of Pulse, The Wall, all of 'em.

--I know, I know, a lot of purists will say I'm the one on crack.

Okay, okay, just a little friendly jab among fellow music fans. Music's so personal, it's a matter of personal taste, and I accept that I'm in the minority.

But for my money, Floyd *never* sounded better than on this live album.

  • @777Stuman amen brother

  • @777Stuman Word.

  • This is so amazing, its beyond my words.

  • how in god's name did i get the highest rated comment on the video? XD

  • just the fact that some of this music was made during my lifetime really humbles me. there is beauty and there is floyd.

  • It was best seeing it live at Arrowhead Stadium!!

  • one of the greatest soundtracks!!!!!!!!!!!!!awesome man!

  • Solo is cut! B.S.

  • Brings back an awesome memory!

  • todo bien no?...

    pero...

    está el solo cortado!!!!

    la mejor parte :-(

  • amazing but the song need roger voice! anyway great too

  • Großartig!!!!!

  • best guitar solo out of all the other videos I've watched but for voice wise I really like the PULSE tour. the best musicians in the world, hands down

  • why is the solo cut ?

  • cant believe that i disliked this band a couple of years ago, its music makes much more sense now...

  • HOOKED!

  • Video e canzone che mi hanno fatto innamorare dei Pink Floyd !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • can anyone gimme the link to this solos' tab..??

  • If you've never seen the version of this song that was on the video tape, you gotta. The solo was WAY longer and awesome. But I do like the vocal change up he made in the Pulse version at the "out of the corner of my eye" part.

  • I agree - there's something missing in PULSE, it's like the difference between Alchemy Live and The Other Dire Straits Live album..

  • @edhoskin The other DS live album is "On The Night". I like the version of Calling Elvis on that better than the original, but Romeo And Juliet definitely sounds better on Alchemy.

  • this is the best version for guitar

    by a long way

  • First live version of CN ever. It blows the original away, but I still like Pulse better.

  • Thank God they were recording this.

  • This clip is cut short.

Nothing on the full length version.

  • This is my favorite version of Comfortably Numb.

  • @monjezlocoz

I agree this version rocks!! but the video version is shorter than the DSOT album version. If you haven't already listen to it. Its the same plus extra stuff that was cut out of the video.

  • @monjezlocoz I think it's too " 80's" cheesy reverb on the snare drum, slower tempo than the original... I think the Pulse one is the ultimate version

  • @monjezlocoz:They even played on Vh1's greatest artists of Hard Rock when they showed Pink Floyd at #15.

  • @monjezlocoz Noo! Without Roger this song isn't a classic! I find his voice essential in this song!

  • @stevexiii Respectfully, I disagree

  • koolspeed....you are 100% right on. this version of 'comfortably numb' is the best you'll find anywhere

  • Can't say it is better than Roger of course, but the harmony they do here for Roger's verses is quite awesome

hearing the edits to the final guitar solo was like a punch to the gut! Ouch!!

  • my favourite version of my favourite song.

too bad my volume is broken

  • En mi parecer el mejor solo jamás oído en comfortably numb... :)

  • Sure! Best version ever! :D

  • Ahhhh....if I could go back in time, this concert would have been one of my top ten places to visit.....Absolutely incredible!

  • the best version of confortably numb

  • a great solo

but i deeply feel he perfected it later on pulse version

  • I know how to play almost every version of the live solos. I STILL CANT LEARN THIS ONE!!!!!! NICE!!!!!

  • It was and will never be matched for just mind blowing visuals. Especially Rachel Fury!! Those 3 ladies swaying for 2 hours was mesmerizing! It had a block of speakers in the rear , on the L & R sides and 4 moving stacks suspended above the stage. Sound of a plane zoomed into the stadium and as it passed to the front ,the lights went out along with the sound of the plane. Back to front. In B.C. Place the sound was really good, really! The crowd went ape !!

  • this is the all time bad ass version of this song ever played, hands down PINK FLOYD is and always will be a giant

  • RIP Richard Wright!!!!!!!!!!

  • love that vocal harmony in the intro

  • great version but is it slower than it usual is?

  • Best version ever of this incredible song!

  • Incredible. The best version of this song ever recorded.

  • best solo that I ever heard!

  • This is the first time I am ever saying anything abt this Roger W thing: half the time I was listening to PF I didn't have a clue what the lyrics were, it was the music and the sound and those were GD, RWr and NM. RW lyrics are brilliant once one gets round to them but it's the SOUND one listens to again and again.

  • 5 Stars is bit for this video : )

Watch my comforfortably numb version on my channel ; )

  • min 4:57 - 7:15 AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Floyd are legends. Get over it and watch something else.

  • And yea they are cooler than you

  • thejohnsontreatment: Why would you call this a sham of band when its 3/4 of Pink Floyd? Roger wrote the lyrics and they are good. But, most people know this song because of the music, most notibly the solos, which are 100% David Gilmour. Roger is not the soul author of the music. He definaty did not write that solo, and even if he did it would not have the emotion and style that is Gilmour. Roger is an arrogant dick.

  • because they are cooler than you.

  • They tried to touch God's FACE!!!

  • i personally believe this is better than P*U*L*S*E* but i know a lot of people dont think so.

  • I agree with you. In fact, the second solo is the best version I´ve heard from this amazing song..

  • @KoolSpeed I think it's better too. I saw them at Wembley on this tour. Wembley is a cavernous venue yet the sound quality was like Hi-Fi. When they played this I saw people around me in tears. It was quite bizarre but it did kinda make you take deep breaths. :o)

  • @HerbertLemons DID YOU SEE MY DAD IN TEARS? he went to wembley too and he was crying by this song caude he was amazed

  • @MrKoiking1 I would cry too

  • @KoolSpeed I agree with you, the best version ever, and the best Floyd live album.

  • @KoolSpeed The audio mix was certainly better....

  • @KoolSpeed IMO this is the best version!

  • @KoolSpeed me too.

  • @KoolSpeed Obviously it is fantastic, but the arrangment of it does not beat P*U*L*S*E. Also the length of the solo is half of that of Pulse, and finally the double stringed bend at the end of the solo at PULSE cannot be matched

  • @rickheyes0 the solo is edited, and many ppl believe, me included, that this is better thean the P U L S E version.

  • @wirikuta14 pulse is edited too actually the pulse version unedited is more than 6 minutes long.

  • @THeBEEtleNAMEdGEORGe I´m sure you can find the unedited version of DSOT here in youtube, its a shame that these solos are edited.

  • @KoolSpeed I Also enjoy the delicate sound of thunder version of Combfortably Numb the best

  • @KoolSpeed

i think that" live in berlin" with roger waters was more spectacular than both pulse and "delicate" show.

  • @KoolSpeed Maybe its because its the one I grew up with, but I agree.

  • @KoolSpeed i agree with you and i believe that this (maybe) is the best "Comfortably Numb" 's solo ever

  • @KoolSpeed most definitely....my best version, even over the original, was my fav to go out on the weekend, get totally hammered, come home and put this on the stereo and sit and dream ;)

  • @KoolSpeed I think, that DSoT - much better than PULSE! And i love this LP!

  • @KoolSpeed Totally agree.....I don't think it's even close. The verse is better, the backing vocals in the chorus are fantastic. I guess we are in the minority on this one.

  • Why the hell would they ever edit the solo? It sounds choppy and lacks the emotion you find on the CD.

  • perfect

  • This is still my favorite version of this song. The guitar solo is perfection, the vocals very brooding, it has more depth to it then the album version I like this. thank you for posting this.

  • I think the Pulse versions from Torino and New Orleans are even better, maybe not that clean, but faaaar more emotional if you ask me, they are here on youtube somewhere, check them out

  • I have the album and the solo it's not like that. Hear from the CD, much better.

  • Comment removed

  • pity this end solo was edited :/

  • Nuovamente tagliato 8.56 to 7.17....

  • I must have watched every Comfortably Numb video there is, not to mention what I have at home, and I love them all !!! Even after all these years.

  • One of the best harmonies ever recorded live in my opinion. Fantastic!!!

  • its not all of the solo :| it has been edited ...

  • So great....it´s excellent

  • I think in this song there is the best guitar solo of David Gilmour.

  • I was at this concert and it was excellent all first class..

  • You're one lucky son of a bitch!

  • LUCKY SON OF A BITCH

  • This was at Nassau Collesium, right?
