  • Fox had to derp. Maybe a relay glitch?

  • the first one was for the cable system the second one was for the television channel itself. and they do these at midnight so it interrupts the least important programming possible, ie not the news or primetime

  • WHY the hell do they do tests at Midnight?

  • @heatcats For max shock value??

  • or I will be soon.

  • I am listening to WXL95 for the test.

  • God, doesn't everybody hate it when ANY EAS test happens at night! At least this month's RMT will happen during the day. Next time, it will be at night.

  • Most television stations in the US also transmit over the air using an antenna. As a result, most TV Stations also have their own EAS equipment to alert those that receive their signal via an antenna. These alerts are also transmitted over the cable system provided that you're tuned to thhat channel in case the Cable Company EAS (which overrides all channels does not activate.

  • Was this TV hooked up to a cable tv system? If it was, the first EAS test message was probably transmitted from the cable company Head end which overrides all TV Channels.

  • @raymondlee3327 Yes it is on Comcast. It overrode all of the channels.
