I think they didn't include RE2 in this is because it's pretty straight forward. You could change the story in the other games without effecting the end result, but if you did that to RE2, the story would probably change too much for the endings of that game to make sense.

I think they didn't include RE2 in this is because it's pretty straight forward. You could change the story in the other games without effecting the end result, but if you did that to RE2, the story would probably change too much for the endings of that game to make sense.

what I mean is the movies don't happen in the same universe as the games. The movies are in a completely different planet earth than the ones in the games take place in. The events in the movies don't effect what happens in the games. Also, Umbrella fell before RE4 in the game timeline.

....if it's not the same storyline it doesn't happen on the same earth. By the point in the timeline that RE5 or even RE4 happens the world is infected with the T-virus in the movie RE timeline. In the games the earth never gets infected.

In RE4 and 5 the T virus is not the problem. Its the parasites. Yes in the RE movie time line the virus did affect the world that is why the planet turned into a desert. Plus you see zombies in the movie right? Those zombies are infected with the T virus.
