  • Thanks for the (Stick Guard) tip that will help. You are catching some monster crappie. I will use a curley tail jig green & white mostly.

  • Great instructional! I just got back from Des Arc Bayou and sad to say the crappie didn't bite very good for me this week. If anyone else is fishing the Bayou now and having any luck please share.

  • Im from des arc arkansas I use a 10 foot extendable pole with a crappie reel a bobber just like u use and three small weights and a minnow catch a few every time and sumtimes I use my abu garcia cardinal with a rooster tail

  • Yay my grandad used to go crappie fishing!

  • My personal choice is a ultra light rod and reel...Hell I like to give um a chance...4lb test line...

  • I always have a problem getting snagged up I didn't know about the guards, I'll have to pick some up!, BTW this video sounds pretty "crappie" lol

  • Thanks for the tips. what town do you live in? where was that place you caught that crappie at? I basically fish the same way you do, but im gonna have to get me some of them stick gaurds.

    D-Ray

  • Very nice video, D-Ray! That Crappie at the end was definitely a "Grease Getter!"

Thanks for the tips on rigging. The Stick Guard tip was priceless, to me. I'm going to have to pick up some of those here before the spawn in Missouri. I'll bet they really are lifesavers.

    Happy Slab Huntin', my friend!
