In a time when the BBC produce a lot of crap it is refreshing to see them produce such a great show like this. Very powerful and inspirational. Also it's great to see the interaction of the westerners with these indigineous tribes. Is the show being broadcast in America as well, for I don't get why else there are three Americans and three Brits there?

I've lived and worked with quite a few amazonian tribes. I kind of admire Richard's sportsmanship, and it does get people to think about other cultures, however it all seems a bit crass. HOw sensationalist do you have to be to get yourself on TV? Having your legs scraped with pirana teeth- just looks fucking daft to me. Unfortunately these programmes could result in more western tourists hanging out with indigenous poeple, more hassle and loss of culture.
