I use Roland deploy my turret right away and run to the spot get into it and crouch for a minute or two and then fire away it works just about everytime out of the 4 times I killed him one time it screwed up cause I got up to fast but you gotta crouch and wait a bit before doing anything it works not that I am proud gonna try and kill him head on once but he is fucking tough...
I can wreck him with all weak ass gear armoury glitched, yeayea, all messes up though, got all 3 at once, all gear was lvl 55- T-T. but I have a fucking rhino, shock too (: and I can't get the back that's it! Ima hope this sht helps, I can do this in under 46 seconds with 2 people and 2 orions (:

i cant do it w/ mordecai anymore, it only worked once wheni finally killed crawmerax the first time. now i have to use lilith for this thing and im barely @ level 53 w/ her. does anyone know where to get faster xp cause i did the raak hive leveling but im getting very little XP now
@squall600 Use Mordecai and whatever character you want to level in the eridian promontary in playthrough 2.5. I get like upwards of 7000xp for every kill and with mordecai's trespass skill the angel things are easy as crap to kill. it's great for leveling other characters or getting your weapon proficiencies up.
I think this is like fixed or patched... cuz 40% of the time I don't even get a chance to get to the 'glitch' spot; I get killed by the maggots and they knock me off the cliff, 59.9% he sees me and spits his jizzy stuff at me, or I can't shoot him in the back cuz he's angled wrong, and the .1% I had was being cheap and using modded stuff lol

every time i go up the elevator, i go to the little crevice on the right and hide. i get maybe half of my mag of my assault rifle shot and i mysteriously get killed, dunno if i get kicked off the cliff or what. i have full shields and health when this happens. i have a level 59, right at the end of XP bar almost to 60 Titan berserker. over 2000 HP, 2700 shields. any suggestions?
@2020ArmyRanger Try deploy your turret right away as a distraction and haul ass. I dunno if it actually works, just a suggestion. The craw maggots are what get my hunter all the time but he doesnt have anything to distract them really. Maybe a turret will distract them long enough for you to get there.

It is NOT patched I fought him about 10 times today and the only time I died was when a craw maggot spawned right next to me coming off the lift and knocked me off the level. Other than that the spot works perfectly for me

@UkRedTiger Yeah, that's the thing with Borderlands...I like it, but there seems to be too many instances where you have to find a cheap exploit like that to get by certain sections, ESPECIALLY with Crawmerax! I've tried killing it without doing it this way in the video and I just can't. It moves too fast and you don't get anytime to recover. I think they intentionally made it for multiple players to take on at the same time.

It works just fine. The first time I beat him was yesterday and I thought it didn't work. However I tried it today and the spot worked perfectly. Oh and yes you MUST crouch I. The glitch spot for AT LEAST two minutes.

@ChawaiM You do need to change direction constantly or you'll be hit by every ranged monster on borderlands - they always perfectly lead you compared to your movement. Not just Crawmerax but every creature in the game.

apparently, you just suck at life. if you run straight there as soon as you get up the lift, it works EVERY time. if you wait too long, he'll get too close to you and will still be able to see you even from that spot.

imo This fight is godly hard, I could never see doing this fight with one guy alone (let alone 4.) Seriously, Boss and his adds deal about 200-300 damage per missile attack (his melee, which will probably gib you for 1000) I think the creators didn't think this through when making Secret Armory. Every add I knew in the DLC would 2-5 shot you. I am glad I got all of it done, I still love Borderlands. But, I believe that when you are making a game or DLC you should play test it before releasing it
i have a shield called rose omega which capacity is like 2 bil, i didnt hack or mod i found it in multiplayer on ground. and im invincible with that, it was so easy for me to beat the invincible cuz when he did shockwave i flew on the mountain wat was high, lol it was so easy to shoot from there.
The glitch is DEFINITELY NOT patched. You just have to get to the spot as quickly as possible, get in, and crouch for a minute or two. If he spits, then it's likely that you didn't crouch there long enough.
If you're struggling to get the back, just bring in a low level siren on split screen and get them to phase round the back of Craw. Once there, start shooting and Craw will turn around for your lvl 69 in the spot.
Oh - and finally.. use a savage masher / skullsmasher for the pink spots.

this is extremely lucky and unrepeatable shot. all the videos of this shot on you tube are the only successful atempts in the world. out of 40 atempts to make this shot i was lucky only once and not because i made it but because crawmerax buged out and turned his back to me

It works just fine. The first time I beat him was yesterday and I thought it didn't work. However I tried it today and the spot worked perfectly. Oh and yes you MUST crouch I. The glitch spot for AT LEAST two minutes.

@ChawaiM You do need to change direction constantly or you'll be hit by every ranged monster on borderlands - they always perfectly lead you compared to your movement. Not just Crawmerax but every creature in the game.

apparently, you just suck at life. if you run straight there as soon as you get up the lift, it works EVERY time. if you wait too long, he'll get too close to you and will still be able to see you even from that spot.

@JafarIam It may be, but it's the only advice to give, other than "keep trying". You need to be fast, so you need to be as close to the spot as possible, and you keep running even when you run against the wall, so, retarded as it sounds, IT WORKS, BITCHES!

But regardless of class, you DEFINITELY want shock weapons (SG, MG, or SMG) for the maggots, and a rather decent rifle (either shock w/ high accuracy or a Jakobs Bessie) for Crawdaddy (Crawmommy?)

I've got a couple of thunderstorms but i've also got wave blasters, ball blasters, cannons, lightenings, rifles.. none of them have outstanding stats but they aren't total crap either. how do you check the hidden mods on this stuff?

@therealfriday13th my thunderstorm is 308 x 8 damage and the specs are just the same as all thunderstorms i guess.. both mine have the same fire rate and all atleast.

You can hit his back with a Leviathan as well. Leviathan is the easiest to actually have without having beaten Crawmerax once before already.

imo This fight is godly hard, I could never see doing this fight with one guy alone (let alone 4.) Seriously, Boss and his adds deal about 200-300 damage per missile attack (his melee, which will probably gib you for 1000) I think the creators didn't think this through when making Secret Armory. Every add I knew in the DLC would 2-5 shot you. I am glad I got all of it done, I still love Borderlands. But, I believe that when you are making a game or DLC you should play test it before releasing it

i have a shield called rose omega which capacity is like 2 bil, i didnt hack or mod i found it in multiplayer on ground. and im invincible with that, it was so easy for me to beat the invincible cuz when he did shockwave i flew on the mountain wat was high, lol it was so easy to shoot from there.

The glitch is DEFINITELY NOT patched. You just have to get to the spot as quickly as possible, get in, and crouch for a minute or two. If he spits, then it's likely that you didn't crouch there long enough.
If you're struggling to get the back, just bring in a low level siren on split screen and get them to phase round the back of Craw. Once there, start shooting and Craw will turn around for your lvl 69 in the spot.
Oh - and finally.. use a savage masher / skullsmasher for the pink spots.

this is extremely lucky and unrepeatable shot. all the videos of this shot on you tube are the only successful atempts in the world. out of 40 atempts to make this shot i was lucky only once and not because i made it but because crawmerax buged out and turned his back to me

I did it and worked.. Kinda, he didnt attack but, i shot all his purple spots down. And he wasnt dead, so now i couls only hit 0. I tried every part of his body.. Any help? Am i to low of a lvl (60)?
