I heard that some of the bigger teams threatened to boycott Dover IRL races in the future. THere were some hard crashes in these races! Exciting for the fans though, good racing!
whats with the guy saying "ding ding ding" at 0:21? is that like the cue for the two drivers to start walking? if it is, the video was poorly edited, if they left that in...
Remember, the Dover event would have been three months to the day after the Visionaire 500K abandoned due to spectator fatalities from debris. Yes, there weren't a lot of people there, but those people were probably not allowed to sit remotely close to the catch fence in reaction to this.
yea they are looming a little empty. Did you notice that the first 15-20 rows are closed off. Is this from the debris coming off of the fragile-looking indycars, maybe?
Thanks for posting! I have been looking for some good footage of the IRL at Dover and I finally found it. I have attended hundreds of NASCAR races at Dover, and I have always wanted to see what the IRL was like here.
I know that it was on FOX... Vince Welch did the announcing for the broadcast that day. This is a highlights voiceover that ESPN did for another broadcast.
lmfao at the grandstands. is anyone even watching?

Buddy would have won a lot more races if it wasn't for his bullcrap of a team.

@jkbnumber1 Buddy would have won less races had he been facing a full field of competition...

Same here, now that I found this it appears as if the IRL had some great racing here (minus the number of finishers). Very intense!

Dover is a great track for indy cars. I wish they would go back there.

I could have sworn this race was on FOX....
I really didn't think Dover was built for Indy Cars...

Although I prefer road courses, it was nice having tracks like Dover that were NOT cookie cutter ovals!
