Don was using the "Applegate Special" that day, a Pink Pearl Corkie and a NightCrawler. Always a good choice near the mouth of the Applegate or anywhere in the upper river. Most locals are now fishing "Yarnies" instead of bait. Shrimp Pink is the magic color.
Nice video! I'm heading down there the end of July, and I'm looking forward to trying for some nice fish in the Rogue.

Were you using bait or some sort of lure? I have taken smaller Rouge steelhead on glo bugs and yarn but I want the big guys
