So, music runs in your family! It must be great to have that to share with your father and your son. I'm the only musician in my family so I missed that. My brother and his wife just made me a pair of nephews, though—maybe in a few years I'll put a couple of little guitars under the tree and see what happens!

Thanks, Olli. I hope you had a good Christmas—and didn't eat too much reindeer! (Or whatever they serve in Swedish prisons : P) Yeah, that's the old Vega. It's still hanging together, but desperately needs new frets. I'm hoping I'll be able to come up with the money for that before it gets unplayable.

I had to work at one of my dismal day jobs on Christmas, but afterwords I got to enjoy a good Christmas dinner and poker game with old friends, so it was pretty good. My Vega is very rare, but not really a collector's item. Serious archtop fanciers don't think much of Vegas except for their early top models, so they don't go for the absurd prices that some archtops do. I just like it for the sound—I don't really care what woods it's made of or what it's worth to collectors.
