    The standard pullup in crossfit is the kipping pullup. It is for speed, and power output.

    It is the exact same range of motion as a deadhang pullup, but done faster.

    The kip comes from gymnastics and is very functional.

    We do strict, and weighted pullups too.

  • the pull ups are kipping. they work more than just the biceps. it is a combination exercise where as dead hang pull ups do more to isolate the biceps.

  • @BoogerReyProductions true, you forgot to mention they are much easier to do higher reps with.

  • Pullup form looks like a fish caught on a hook flailing about like it's life depends on it.
