Brescia, ain't been there since about 1992, was hangin in Lumezzane. Peter Gabrial is a talented musician, he's a lot funkier than I originally noticed. I'm always busy watching his weird videos, to busy to notice how funky the music is.

F*** that! He's still Peter Gabriel. He's not ashamed for ageing and that's only ONE of many things that are great about him. And if you guys are complaining about his voice: Has anyone heard Bob Dylan sing recently? Bob's a great song-writer that's why nobody complains. But Peter's a great song writer too and he always was and still is a good singer.
People tend to get very gloomy about singers as they grow older. I makes me angry! Just leave them alone. This is a competent live performance. Peter Gabriel does not focus on just live singing. This is just one of the things he does with his time.
I know what you mean. Gabriel may easily be my favourite pop vocalist, still it's such a shame to hear his voice wear out. He's beginning to have serious intonation problems, and he also seems to be quite short on breath. Also he seems to fall out of rhythm a lot more often than he used to. I personally think his voice was at its best around the "So" era. That being said, still one of the greatest voices ever in pop.
I think he's still going pretty strong for a man of 60. His voice is very variable these days - sometimes he has terrible vocal, old-man performances, but sometimes it sounds just like the old Gabriel.
That said, one of the things I really miss about Gabriel's voice is his yodelling on high notes. This was a central characteristic of his voice in the 'Security' and 'Plays Live' period. That was a real defining sound.
Everybody complains about Phil Collins' voice performance. There's nothing wrong with it, but the fact is: he's getting older. The same way is Peter Gabriel. It seems lack of energy, but it's not. They need to retire or change the songs' versions, which we can hear.
