Hi. I was just wondering if this would work with my iPod touch. . I am still on warranty and the problem with it is that the bottom left corner screen is rising up and when I went to an apple store they didn't replace it and they just said it's perfectly fine. Also the home and sleep/wake button is wiggly an not like solid feeling like the ones they have at the store. Please reply asap!! ..

I just called apple today 3/29/09 they said 3rd option is a Advanced replacement, with a $499 hold on your credit card they said i would be getting a Refurbished iphone not a Brand New OEM iphone in a original Box.

BRAND NEW. *NEVER* buy an AT&T refurb iPhone. They are horrible in quality. Some even have content from the past user, even jailbreaks. Some are dented cracked and scratched and you have no choice between refurbs. Go new

well i had the 8GB ipod touch 1G, then I had the iPhone 3G 8GB and they were both fine when it came to space. I had about 4-5 Gigs of music and no movies (I really dont like watching movies on small screens). Yes mine was jailbroken =] so I had a lot of apps. Basically, If I got bored of some music I'd just take it off and replace it. The most annoying thing I came down with was having to think "Do I really want ALL this music on here?" but now I have the 32GB and well, im happy =]

same happened to me as on your third one. It was my second refurb. I got offered an 'advanced replacement' or something like that from lady in customer relations, I think this is similar to what you did? I have to have a hold on my card, is it always new in box because they said nothing about that, its just I couldn't get to my apple store as its about half an hour away, just a bit inconvenient.

Perfect timing on getting your new replacement. Post back what you got on ebay for your 8GB. I hope your 3Gs is flawless the first time around but I bet it will be pretty tense when they fire it up for the first time and your checking for defects. I'm glad the video helped a lot of people who got boned by apple and their "genius" bar refurbs.

i ended up selling my iPhone 3G 8GB for $400 flat. Previously I called AT&T twice to confirm that I was eligible so I went with the auction. I went today to buy the iPhone 3GS 32GB white and they said I wasnt eligible. So I was PISSED. The guy said the phone was $500, and I was about to stab everyone in the room lol. Well I had the money on me and it was the last iPhone in the area so I couldnt say no,plus i was done paying monthly bills when i didnt even have my iphone.I have it now and imHappy

yes, as crazy as it sounds, the light leak has been solved. The only tiny leak i was able to find in the dock port and its just a tiny dot when held at like a very small angle. absolutely nothing to worry about. The phone is so quick when loading apps and the camera is superb. I am very satisfied with the 3GS, I also love the white version too =]

You have to keep me up to date how how the white one holds up. I'm thinking about going white when it comes time to upgrade but I'm concerned about the white cracking iPhone issue along with any discoloration. I keep my iPhone in a Sena leather pouch kind of like a blackberry but when I'm using the phone its 'naked'. Therefore I'm wondering if overtime the white backing starts to look a bit shabby. The black one seems to stay pristine no matter what but it may also hide more damage as well.

ive heard about the discoloration also but it only happens in rare cases. Each time it was reported it was due to excessive use of the GPS feature for long periods of time, or leaving the phone in a hot car or place. Normal use hasnt caused any damage or discoloration. As for cracks, none have been reported on the white 3GS thus far. As for cases, I bought a white Incase Slider and it looks superb and fits like a glove.

Wife and I were out last night and I stoped into the Apple Store at our mall to see something a bit strange. They had a mix of white and black 3GS' on display so I thought I would check them out. I noticed that ALL of the white 3GS' had warping issues around the sim tray. Basically there were big gaps and spaces around the sim tray on all (5 to be exact) white iPhone 3GS' while all the black ones were fine. Check your sim tray slot periodically for this defect.

I read some follow up articles on the white iphone discoloration and it was determined that the discoloration was caused by the device being in a case that blocked the heat from escaping and that the discoloration was the color of the case bleeding into the iphone backing. This is another reason why I use my iphone as nature intended, 'naked'.

UPDATE: Well so far I love my 3GS like its a baby, BUT I have found just a couple minor defects: 1. The volume rocker is just a little loose sliding up and down slightly. 2. the silent switch is kinda loose when it is on silent. And well thats about it! Overall amazing!

my brand new 3GS was perfect except my accelerometer was off 5 degrees. i used a free app called "a free level" to determine this. its not a huge deal, but its a lil annoying when playing games that use the accel. like racing games for example. anyways, i went through 3 refurb 3GS's and they all have GPS problems, or the glass is not flush with the chrome bezel. these are both unacceptable to me, so im demanding a brand new one tomorrow. just a warning...dont settle for refurbs ever!!!
