Uhmm, no, it could be angina, it could be bronchitus, could be a pulled muscle, anxiety, numerous, numerous things, you can never, ever trust dispatch information.
Uh...no. 99% of the time, a call like that is a heart attack. Angina is a partial clot. No radiating pain down the arm. Only chest pain. Bronchitis?! No! I've had bronchitis, nothing to do with the arm...
Uhmm, no, angine can be casued by many things, such as atherosclerosis, narrow cariac arteries, over exertion, ect. Anginal pain can radite through the chest, back, neck and jaw, and down both arms, which commonly causes people to mistake them for AMI's, bronchitus can cause sever chest pain, and axillary muscle pain, which someone could also mistake for cardiac pain, but im just a Critical Care Paramedic, what do i know.
@MidnightPolak As an EMT i can say i have been on many more calls where it turned out to be angina or only a partial clot and not a full heart attack, it is definately not a heart attack 99% of the time.
I'm suprised that they dont have an engine with them going to an ems call. Is there a paramedic on the engine down there, in yourother video I think its time to get a newer firetruck lol
well they do have a newer fire truck. That is just one and its the 2nd brush truck. They took that one so the main engine that they use is still in service.
Also our EMS is full-time so they dont need and engine. Other towns around here do that but not here. Yes they do have a few paramedics.
Yeah, he was looking a little lost. I once saw an Ambulance circling a University for a good 5 mins trying to figure out where they needed to be... if I knew the area better I would have tried to help them out. Too bad people don't mark there addresses better, and give better info to the dispatchers.
"chest and arm pain victim" - that would be a heart attack...

And about 15%, if that, of chest pain calls, are actually caused by some kind of acute cardiac event.
