For those that don't know, Karen was in a car accident in 1983 and has been in a wheelchair ever since. Although she's not dancing anymore, she went on to finish college and has done a lot of work for causes relating to disabled people. You can see her dancing in the 1980 Mickey Mouse Club Reunion TV Special, which is also here on YT.

I have the honor of corresponding with two original mouseketeers. I thank you for this tribute to Karen. With Bobby turning 70 this month and Lonnie's birthday coming at the end of May, we need all the tributes we can get. I wish Disney would see the value of rerunning the original series on their channel, even in the wee hours of the morning. It would make my DVR rental worth it.

@tlabrier I agree! It would be super to see all those old films again. Loved every minute of them. I was in third grade and watched after school and danced along with them in front of the TV.
