A return to prison warrant is issued by Qld Dept Corrections when a person has not complied with (or re-offended during) a period of PAROLE ie received JAIL and was let out on Parole and is still serving that JAIL sentence in the community. If breached, the prisoner goes straight to jail then can re-apply for further parole from there.
1) He was arrested; and his family could have asked whatever they liked, and most probably gotten an answer there on-the-spot.

The Court issues the warrant - in this case it is a warrant to return to prison. If they want to know why the "court" issued the warrant - take it up with the court. These people are not somehow lacking in understanding of the legal process, with many of them being veterans of the legal system. It is time their elders accepted responsibility for the deplorable conduct of their children and break the cycle of violence, substance abuse and disrespect that they seem to enjoy so much.

The police in this video did nothing wrong, they arrested a CRIMINAL. The abuse the police were subjected to in this video was mild compared to the norm. The Court issues the warrant - in this case it is a warrant to return to prison. If they want to know why the "court" issued the warrant - take it up with the court. These people are not somehow lacking in understanding of the legal process, with many of them being veterans of the legal system. It is time their elders accepted responsibility for the deplorable conduct of their children and break the cycle of violence, substance abuse and disrespect that they seem to enjoy so much.

Well done to the the police for not reacting to the deliberate attempts to antagonise and intimidate them. It was interesting to note that the only fella who did not put on a turn or play up was the gentleman who was actually arrested. Once it was explained to him (about 3 or 4 times) he seemed to accept it, it was everyone else obstructing and attempting to intimidate the police who caused the drama.

I lived in Doomadgee over ten years ago. I have moved back to Scotland. It would appear that the Police have still a long way to go on the evolution ladder. I taught some of the kids there and they will now be the young adults that are having bother with the few, if vocal, racist police. What you cannot deny is the following: A member from the Doomadgee community breached his bail/parole conditions and therefore had a warrant for his arrest and return to prison. Whilst the officers in question were trying to carry out their job, they were abused, obstructed and accused of rape and kidnapping. The police in this video did nothing wrong, they arrested a CRIMINAL. The abuse the police were subjected to in this video was mild compared to the norm. The saddest thing is that this video was obviously posted to gain support for the indigenous cause, but all it's going to do is further alienate non-indigenous australians, by showing exactly what indigenous communities are like. This video added to already overwhelming evidence that these communities can't govern themselves.
