This is at Clunes, Victoria.

The train station was disused years before the movie, and is actually quite away from the scene before (with the toys out front). It was a private residence, maybe still is. Cafe in town was good for fish and chips, especially if you kamikazed an XR ute rolling body down a hillside in freezing rain and mud to avoid dump fees, right DUDE X!

@Wafaloo Yeah, they assumed Americans wouldn't dig the Aussie accents so they dubbed the American release version. Gives it a campy feel. The original undubbed version is so much better because dubbing, especially when it's unnecessary, always makes a movie appear lame.

@IggyHazard Yup, indeed, the orig soundtrack is still the best. However, don't pass up listening to the American dub, it's actually funny - the Nightrider's & Toecutter's voices are hilarious!!

i fucking love this movie. still my top #1 movie of all time. road warrior was great too, but there was just something about this movie. i remember seeing road warrior in the movie theater as a kid and just being blow away by it. still love it to this day. strange how some things just never change. they can just never duplicate these kinds of classic movies again. out here in the U.S people just dont seem to remember these timeless movies.

@DingoBaby Mad Max1? Of course, its hilarious and to tell you the truth i enjoy the dubbed US version the best! Partly cuz, its the way i remember it ! The dubbed voices seem to fit the characters better and the lines they throw out at you are so damn funny dubbed. I own the blue ray version and its included in there, along with the original Aussie accents. It was very weird to me watching it for the first time, with the original accents. Wasnt hard to understand at all. Blue ray is awesome!!
