  • how will a sealed box do on low bass (around 30 to 35Hz)?

  • i think sealed boxs are alot deeper bass, what do you think, and would this set up do a good hair trick, with the box sealed up?

  • @mr010tommy010

Sealed boxes do not work well at all with the SA-8s.

  • I just purchased a Sundown sa-8 and looks amazing but I dont know too much about designing ported enclosures.

Could you point me in the right direction or maybe a design that you already know of with the dimensions of the box and port for a slot ported box tuned around 30-35hz for one of these?

I feel like im asking a bit much but i cant seem to find a box design when I google it anywhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    thanks, Kyle

  • Do you guys think you can do a demo of them playing music? All these videos are just of them at their peak freq for a score.

  • I'm not really about SPL, I'm more into the thunder effect being next to someone at the red light. Which is usually a much lower frequency that SPL meters show much lower on. We used to tune boses around think was 80Hz and SPL would be nutso but it sounded like shit. I'm a huge fan of the 30-50Hz rumble effect. Haha... I wanna know how well these speakers do for that seeing a lot of vids on them but none that really show of the low end so much.

  • @neoplasmax i lol'd

  • how?

  • @oOb2KnErOo i thought the same thing till i had purchased my sundown sa-8 these things are nasty.

i had a cadence zrs 12(1000rms) in a box tuned to 35 hz and when i purchased the sa-8 i was skeptical like most people. but i put it in a .8cube box tuned to 35hz and the sa-8 hits the lows better then my 12 did. also the sa-8 is louder on the tl from 32hz on up to 39hz. after that the 12 takes the sa-8. the sa-8 is my favorite driver. sundown for the win

  • What I would like to see is someone get a flat response with this driver. Based on the specifications, it is all SPL. Would be nice to see what someone can do on music with this with a low cutoff frequency and a flat response. Can someone who has the sub that sees this post do something like that for us?

  • it made 150 DB'S ?!?!?!?!!?! and im doing SIX DC level 2 eight's with the same power handling and what not as these .... thats going to be awesome scary haha

  • @walkingfreak No your not.

  • @popwarhomie what makes you say that its only 600 bucks for all six of them not that bad

  • @walkingfreak Just judging by your other videos. I think your just dreaming. You need more than just subwoofers BTW..

  • @popwarhomie lol ok what about my videos? so what i own a mtx 9500 that i bought for 300 bucks who says i cant cough out another 200 or 300 in the future to buy six DC level 2 8's or 1 15 or 18 inch Fi BTL or Black market audio street general 18

  • @walkingfreak Do you even have a Vehicle? Like I said before. It takes more than just subwoofers to build a system. I don't think it will happen. Prove me wrong though.

  • @popwarhomie im getting a job first then il get my vehical getting a job here in michigan is a bitch. trust me i will proove you wrong

  • what ohm rating r u running these at?

  • what is the box tuned to

  • just got mine in mail beastly little 8's

  • spin the box round it will play louder

  • where can i get a set?

  • what did it make when you metered at the windsheild?

  • See my other video -- 150.0 dB

  • whats the box tuned to? how much power?

  • Best subs ever?

  • street beat em =P

  • It is only about 1.75 cubes after subwoofer displacement. It just looks big since they are 8s =)

  • @arawndark that makes me feel good haha i just built a box for 2 of these and its right at 1.78cu and it seemed big but i guess not

  • @arawndark what's the dimensions?

  • dude thats insane to say the least

    80

  • Fuckin beautiful! 10/5 !!!! Faved.....i'm gettin a couple!!!!

  • that is truly impressive coming from 8inch drivers

  • Nice! A full db!

  • the door was opened this time wasent it other then the last test sealed

  • Yes, the 150.0 is sealed up dB Drag Style on the dash -- this is "Outlaw" style like the USACI competition association with the mic in the kick panel and one door open.

  • wow thats crazy!

  • Would it get more db if they were faced at the back door? It made it louder in my jeep by a lot.
