  • I felt.. Relieved. I felt peace in my heart. <3

  • Thank you! My vocal class is mixed, and the grade ten section have to sing this. Thing is though, we always mess up, and we only go to 3 parts :O Hopefully this can help some people ^^

  • Great!

  • This actually really helped me , i always got the 3 and 2nd verse mixed up

  • Thanks. they do make an intersting pattern.

  • Watching the colors is almost... hypnotizing...

  • very useful way of showing my students where the chords come and how it cycles through. Nicely done, but shame about the fairly ordinary recording.

  • Pacem can be spelled in several different ways, as it developed in many different countries. For example, the German spelling and the French spelling as they evolved from Latin would be different. Pacem and Pachem are both correct, and there are others.

  • i played this at school

  • Dona Nobis Pacem means specifically "Grant us Peace". It's a beautiful song though.

  • my musical cast does this for warm up. when we all do it together it sounds so nice. send shivers down my spine

  • we sang that at the school's rememberance assembly!

  • @KoolFlowerPower this is the exact version my high school choir sang to place 2nd in teh canadian national music fest in 1992

  • Great. Let me know what the response is if you think of it.

  • Brilliant! I'm going to be showing this as an example of visual representations of harmony in a workshop today.

  • we just sang this a while ago in our HUMANITIES class and it was so cool! i really love the rounds quite confusing when you are the third to sing! haha! we really had a great time doing the rounds!

  • im singing this song for choir only its supposed to stop at 1:00

  • That is the coolest video I have ever seen!

  • @mrscloud4772

    thanks mrscloud.

  • i love this song

  • the choir at my church sings this and the lady who always ends up sitting behind me gets the same notes wrong every time lol

  • I <3 THIS!!!

  • I am confused. How can music created in garageband be out of tune?

  • Actually, the fifth instrument (third to last) is noticeably way out of key. If that was fixed it would sound much better.

  • it is actually latin dona nobis pacem not donna nor pachem : the church latin does pronounce pace(m) as pache' and pachem

  • every time i come to this song it kinda upsets me that someone tried correcting the uploader and was completely wrong and also idk i kinda feel attitude from his attempted correction...i hope it wasnt on purpose. if it was youre a jerk.

  • Interesting...

BTW one of the instruments sounds out of tune (the 5th or 6th) when it's combined with the others, but not by itself.

  • In Latin, Dona is the verb for give. It translates to Give Us (Nobis) Peace (pacem).

  • nope. it pacem. not pachem. on the actual score its spelt at dona nobis PACEM.

  • 這個效果可以清楚知道每一個聲部的位置,

    很棒欸XDD

  • @secretfantage

    thanks for the correction.

  • @illuminata Actually, no it's not. It's spelled "Dona Nobis Pacem." It may be pronounced "pachem" (which it really shouldn't be, but that's another matter altogether), but the title is a Latin phrase meaning "Give us peace."

  • dona nobis pacem is correct, look it up

  • @illuminata

    dona nobis pacem is correct

  • @illuminata no its not... dnt listen to that dumbass... you spelled it correctly!! :]

  • @illuminata

No, spelled Donna Nobis Pachem. The correct spelling is Dona Nobis Pacem. I have sung this hymn and played it countless times in college so I should now by now how it spelled.

  • @yunasboy27

I'm used to the spelling "Dona Nobis Pachem" as well.

But who's to say it isn't spelled two different ways, just like monolog and monologue?

  • @yunasboy27 yes you are correct, the latin letter "c" is pronounced "ch"

  • @decondemon

    wrong, c is c.

"ae" as in saepe is pronounced like the letter I long sound

v is prounounced as w such as veni vidi vici= weni widi wici

  • @secretfantage Its spelled Dona Nobis Pacem

  • @secretfantage

Wo, such genius. Now, let's try google search and see if the correct spelling is actually D-o-n-a N-o-b-i-s P-a-c-e-m.

  • @astarixa12 That's stupid. He spelt it right.

  • @mrscloud4772 What's stupid? My being sarcastic?

Dona Nobis Pacem is the right spelling. Google it if you want. You can even check a Latin Dictionary for all I care.

  • @secretfantage no its not... he/she spelled it right :]

  • @secretfantage actually its spelled correctly ur school must have had a typo!

  • @clubBFF1225 lol thats what i though lol

  • @secretfantage Actually, if you ever learn latin, it is spelled pacem but in the ecclesiastical pronunciation is it pronounced like pachem but still spelled pacem. The only difference is the pronunciation of the word. Pacem is correct

  • Yeah, this is the version im singing :DDD

  • This is the song that my class and the grade 3 class are singing for the concert

  • Very nice.

  • yes something to practice with im singing this at my church and i n3eed to practice

  • Glad this is useful.

  • This is not only beautiful but also very helpful for people like me who need to practice this song.

  • This is a great way to help children and students see the theory of the round at work. Thanks.

  • Hehe Donna Nobis Pacem. You made the title sound like someone's name. Teehee.

  • So beautiful.

  • Im gonna sing this song in chior next wensday wish me luck

  • I love this visual representation of how the round works together. I think it will really help my kids "get it."

  • Wow~ Impressive~ Beautiful piece of music with visuals.

  • That was amazingly pretty! :D

  • I'm an elementary music teacher and I would love to show this to my students. Unfortunately we can't use youtube at our school - is there a DVD or something that I could buy so I can play it for the kids? Let me know, Thanks so much.

  • This was awesome - how did you do that? This is really good for kids (and adults) to see the melodic contour of a song.

  • Thank you. that's exactly why I like doing it, to see what the shape of the music looks like.

  • This is Beautiful.
