I think Phil went on record to say SR is done. Probably just as well, because all that harsh singing will shred his vocal cords. He used to be able to sing like Bruce Dickinson and nail all the high notes with lots of vibrato. Now, he sounds like he gargles with shards of broken glass!

people have to understand that when you've been screaming your ass off on stage like phil has all his life, your voice isnt necessisarily going to sound exactly the same every damn show, so shut the fuck up and think about what his vocal chords have been through. Thats why he tends to sound different from video to video and as well as what he USE to sound like 15 fuckin years ago. Its not JUST drugs and personally i dont think the drugs fucked him up too bad.

Great intro music...Korn! Korn! Korn! Phil was singing his Pantera songs like his Superjoint Ritual songs, that's why his live shows with Pantera started to sux. I'm not saying he wasn't a good singer, but he should have kept the style of singing seperate for the bands, because it brought down the quality of the Pantera shows. IMO. LOL.

Phil always added more aggression live to Pantera songs. He only fucked up vocally when he was "self-medicating". He sounds amazing now if you check out some of the newer Down live videos.
