  • that's soooo good

  • it didnt sound very good when are TRYING to add their own twist to the song yuck

  • Goood try dint work though! But well done for giving it a go!

  • I hate when groups/schools/choirs interpret songs from musical and jazz them up or make them more (or in this case LESS) than what they were meant to be. It's just... awful. It's not cute, it doesn't sound good, and the writers of the music probably don't like it either. I'm sorry guys, but this just... wasn't a success... I suggest talking to your director about how bad of an idea it sounds before you end up doing it

  • I usually don't like it when groups "jazz up" songs either, but that wasn't jazzing it up. That was taking a song and kicking its ass and I mean that in a good way. I don't think there was anything wrong with the song or its performance. The director and the performers are allowed to interpret the music however they like. I don't think the writers really have a say in the matter, unless they are drastically changing the song or claiming it as their own. That wasn't awful, that was amazing!

  • My 8th grade chorus did this song once!

  • omg my choir just did it to it was awasome

sob i dont get the solo

  • umm not really sure why people were smiling during this... its supposed to be about how justice was denied, its not exactly a happy message. smiles while speaking of oppression. nice job there.

  • Wow, so I posted before the song was done....what was that jazz ending!? So lame.

  • Background singers are too loud, you can't hardly hear the words and you miss out on the message. I loved the beginning though.

  • *rubs goosebumps off entire body*

  • omg you're not kidding, i have them everywhere!

  • are u kidding me

  • this was great!

  • Springfield ... Time to segregate music? IMHO perhaps we all will be better off if we judge music by the content of its message rather than the color of the skin of the characters it was originally written for? Just my two cents. I want to thank AdzLovell for posting it. It made my day.

  • AMEN Bob, I believe the attitude of Springfield is what we are fighting to overcome in this country. The message of this song belongs to us all!

  • Ok. . . have you seen the show? Do you know what it's about? This song is not meant for a group of white kids to sing. It's about a black man who is encouraging his people to keep fighting for their rights. It may be beautiful and all, but it's bad enough black people can't have the little things in life they already have. Let us keep this song

  • It's not like they are really taking it away from you. We sang this in my chior and everytime we sang it we became very thoughtful of it's orgins...

Have you ever thought how it can be applied to young people too? Music is universal and deserves to be shared by everyone with respect to it's orgins... I'd rather this song be sung by white kids then not sung at all

  • Justice is a universal concept. Everyone has been denied justice in some way, however little. It still matters. Music is for everyone of all colors. Black, white, tan and all shades in between.

  • this song is SO beautiful! love the harmonies... =D

  • That was very gospel-esq.

    Gorgeous.

  • I must admit the jazzy version of this song was a little weird, but I did like it :D

  • incredible

    great talent

  • Wow that was a very very nice interpetation

  • omg omg that was amaZing

  • wow...that was fantastic!

  • awsome!!!

  • YEPPI!!Im the first to comment
