Nothing can be a greater tribute to this song than the admission of my most favourite music director,the one an only M.S.Vishwanathan sir that this song was his inspiration for composing an equally moving piece "Ullathil Nalla Ullam urangadhenbadhu" in the tamil film "Karnan". I don't understand how the music was so melodeous and singer so talented then. Why can't we have such music now. Can it be preserved. With the best of the instruments and singer of today, there is absolutely no comparison to this stuff. Is it so that the talented people don't exist anymore, how could it be. Or they don't get a chance anymore.

These old songs take you to an altogather different world. My goodness, I have no words to describe how I feel.

It is a copy of Kazi Nazrul Islam's composition "Aruno-kaanti ke go jogi bhikaari" [Check this: watch?v=9Hdsp9z-n58 ]

There is no difference between genres, both are of classical nature based on Raaga Bhairavi. And please do check the wikipedia page of Sachin Dev Burman. It is clearly stated that this song is based on Nazrul's composition.
