Why does everyone look sad at the end, including the music.? I had the opportunity back in 1964, when I was 14, to have seen the original production with Zero Mostel @ the Imperial Theatre, orchestra seats were $9.90. the next day I saw Carol Channing in "Hello Dolly" at the St. James Theatre/ matinee, and that evening I saw Barbra Streisand in "Funny Girl" @ the Winter Garden theatre....all because me and my family were in town for the Worlds Fair.
