  • Sometimes it is the "Christian Atheist" who are able to love without judging those that the church despises. Sometimes it is those who say they walk with god daily who end up being the most hate-filled people on Earth. Now who exactly is loving their neighbors and their enemies? Who exactly is following Christ? Don't knock down the Christian Atheist. God has a purpose for them.

  • @lucasboden It is a shame that so many people who are supposed to be good Christians (televangelists, catholic bishops who oppose gay marriage, etc.) are the least tolerant. I believe that these hate-filled people you refer to are actually the biggest Christian Atheists of all. The true Christians are the ones who embrace Jesus's message of love and tolerance

  • @randyperson @lucasboden When did Jesus ever preach 21st-century "tolerance"?! Christians are not to hate sinners, but love them enough to share the Good News and its accompanying command of repentance. God indeed has a purpose for those who call themselves Christians and yet live as "enemies of the cross"; it's called "destruction" (Philippians 3:17-19). Praise God for Craig's ministry and its commitment to its exposure of both Truth, as well as lies of today's wicked world.

  • The closer you get to knowing God, the more mysterious He becomes.

  • and basically i don't know why he's calling these people atheist in the first place. it's just a bad case of prejudice against atheists as bad, immoral and corrupt people without any values of beliefs. that's nonsense, I believe in human race and need nothing else to feel fulfilled. better word for them would be christians by tradition, custom or/and indifference.

  • @IBezimeniI

I'm sorry if you have experienced Christians who are misanthropes because as you have said, that goes completely against the NT. I'm not trying to argue or pick a fight, but I must point out that Jesus, in the NT, claimed the two most important commandments are "Love God, Love People" (Matt. 22:37-40).

You say that you currently need nothing else to feel fulfilled, and I used to think the same thing ("Something's Missing" by John Mayer) If that ever changes, I'd be glad to talk.

  • ok, the only reason why I'm posting here is that I to call myself a "christian-atheist" and basically what I mean by it is completely the opposite of what this guy is saying. I am an atheist ("no god out there") but live by the christian values and believe in them.

christianity (new testament) is not about god, it's about love towards people and belief in mankind. many "christians" are really misanthropes and don't see that's complete reversal of basic principles in NT. such a shame.

  • @IBezimeniI When he says "Christian atheists," he's referring to people who call themselves Christians but whose lives wouldn't look any different if they suddenly stopped believing in God.
