  • When Comedy was COMEDY!

  • The only problem I have is that the commercials have better sound quality than the video itsself.

  • I love the Who's On First Sketch. But the one that made me laugh the loudest was the 28 divided by 7 is 13. =)

  • I wish they would still make comedy like this

  • They don’t make em like this no more!!

  • HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ABBOOOOOOOTT

    !

  • HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ABBOOOOOOOT!

  • OMG was that George Raft?!!? AWESOME!!!!

  • Not quite as funny as the Marx Bros, Laurel & Hardy or the 3 Stooges but still much better than some of the brain dead crap out today like 2 & a half men, or Sienfeld with that canned laughter. Even shows like F Troop or the Munsters, Green Acres all these shows were funny to me because the scripts were better written and were all left of centre humour not just plain dumb stupid stuff like that goose Drew Carey or Friends drivel. Humour before the 80's was better

  • @Chris51 If you watch Seinfeld you can see how he stole much of the basic relationships of the great comedy teams for his show. George and Kramer=Norton and Kramden from the Honeymooners and a bit of Laurel and Hardy, George and Jerry=Abbott and Costello, Elaine and Jerry=Burns and Allen, etc. There is nothing new in comedy.

  • How in the name of all that is comedy did 14 people hit the dislike button!

  • @ArchAngel656 cause they dont know what real comedy is

  • @ArchAngel656 Well when some people are born (babies) The Doctor slaps there Mother From that moment on they lose there sense of humour Hence they spend the rest of there lives as sad assess . those wher the days Clean cut Comedy No cussing andswearing . now lets roll back the clock . Bring this Comedy back Now on second thoughts I am talking out of my Backside this Comedy will NEVER DIE
  • @ArchAngel656 not 14, 17.

  • @ArchAngel656 they were laughing too hard they accidently pressed the wrong button

  • @ArchAngel656 Boy do you've got that right!!!

  • @ArchAngel656 It's all so good, the dislikes had to be mistakes.

  • @ArchAngel656 ya 21 retards actually clicked the dislike button... >.>

  • @ArchAngel656

Some people think anything that was done before they were born is autmatically bad. Their loss. They were long dead before I was born and I still like them.

  • @ArchAngel656 i hit the wrong botton

    FAIL~~~!!!

  • This is good

  • youtube puffpaddy pot song

  • just started watching, im 17, an there is no comedy like this today! hilarious!

  • LOL! I love this so much!

  • They raised millions for US War Bonds during WWII. Afterwards, they had tax problems and the IRS confiscated everything they owned, including their clothes.

This was the thanks they received from an ungrateful nation.

For more about them, try to see a made for TV movie starring Buddy Hackett and Harvey Korman. Very sad.

  • which one is abbot and which one is costello?

  • @MrStormtheCastle Abbott is the tall, skinny guy while Costello is the short, fat one.

  • Classic Baeball routine. Funniest thing I have ever seen.

  • I'm only 14 and I think this is hilarious. I especially like the Initiation where they spit on each other. It was funny when Costello tripped on the bucket.

  • So funny...

  • its official there are 13 retards that dont have a comedy bone in the body

  • 00:01

  • I"'ll brake ur arm!! lol

  • the best of the best

  • I wish I was old like that old to where I could see those guys walking on the streets. :) Those guys are my favorite comedians

  • Those were the good old days! Life today is SHIT.

  • 29:00-35:00 was the best 6 minutes of my life... pure GENIUS.

  • True comedy= back before politically correctness, censors, corporation marketing. We will NEVER see this kind of comedy ever again. :(

  • I'm sure that when this first came out, it was hilarious. But I guess all comedy that came after this heavily borrowed from these guys, and funny situations get repeated over time and become cheesy and stale. At least to me. But after watching this a bit, after letting my guard down, I find this so damn charming and entertaining, I really see what everyone's comments are talking about. It seems like comedy has become angry, arrogant, and shallow over time. But this can be described only as A&C.

  • at 26:14 you can hear a girl go ew

  • i love it

  • Genius.

  • This is true talent right here. These guys can be funny just as they make it up, you can't teach that.

  • The Greatest Comedy Duo in History.

Abbott & Costello gave the kind of humor that had slapstick, wit, memorable bits, energy, and spot-on performances that left all age groups in stitches.

No one can touch these guys in terms of humor. Nobody.

The holy trinity of comedy acts are Abbott & Costello, the Marx Bros, and The Three Stooges.

  • @ninjawraith17 you forgot Lauel and Hardy

  • @tussler21557

Haven't really seen much of their work yet.

  • 44:16 - 54:55 i couldn't stop laughing

  • You could tell that Lou was genuinely pissed off during the 7x13=28 sketch.

  • the hamburger part is the best

  • Man I started watching these guys at 5 and I've always loved em'. These guys are the REAL kings of comedy.

  • -__- One ad. One ad freezes the vid at 51 minutes in... sux.

  • Wow, the best AD by far... Shrek :D

  • Oooh!!! it's a bigger one!!!!!!

  • im thirteen and i just started checking them out and theyre amazing. RESURRECT THEM!!!

  • LOVe them!!!!!! they are the BEST so BRILLIANT!!!

  • cool

  • Really like catsnvegas's comment. Thanks so much for sharing.

  • How did you get an hour in a youtube video?

  • Kings of slapstick

  • costello was born down the street from where I live in Paterson NJ.

  • I like how comedians were able to make people laugh without being obscene. I mean don't get me wrong there are still comedians like that, but nowadays so many are just gross..

  • These Clips Are SO FUNNY!!!

    I Love This!!

  • greatest comedy routine ever!!!!!!!

  • i can't get enough of these guys! itunes just added season 1 and 2 of the show and i cant stop watching it :P

  • i grew up in iran and remember watching them dubbed in persian, they were funny then and even funnier in english.

  • Such funny skits! Well written and funny as heck!

  • In seventh grade a few of my friends and I did the Who's on First sketch. I played Costello (the manager) and my best friend played Abbott. We might have butchered a few parts but it was fun!

  • @River166 im in 7nth grade and thats what we are doing!

  • In seventh grade a few of my friends and I did the Who's on First sketch. I played the Abbott and my best friend played Costello. We might have butchered a few parts but it was fun!

  • Little Joe!!!

  • Love 'em.

  • HAVE YA GOT TWO TENS FOR FIVE!?!

  • 17:02 skit. Love it!!!

  • This tv special has no clips from the boys movies..it's basically scenes from their semi regular guest hosting stints on NBC TV's "Colgate Comedy Hour!".

  • esto es vueno para toda persona

  • I can't explain how much I love these guys. I started watching when I was under ten and I'm still watching them at 20. 8D

  • Abbott and Costello lovely ppl ...

  • Omg this is a long video 0_0

  • TeamTBagr - 56 minutes is a long time? I take it you haven't watched any movies in a very long time, or read any books?

  • when the average youtube video is 4 minutes, and the maximum length is usually 10, 56 minutes is incredibly long.

  • paulec252 - 56 minutes is not even an hour long tv show. I would hope anyone has an attention span longer than 56 minutes?

  • Yes indeed, 56 minutes IS less than an hour. Attention spans are not in question here, nor are they relevant to our comments. It was teamTBagr's opinion simply that this is a long video, and I would agree with him, for the reasons I stated above.

Nobody is saying an hour is long.

  • These guys are so funny!

  • one advantage of being older.. kids dont know what they r missing!

shame they dont play these on cable!

  • @martind586 I'm 19 and I heard about Abbott and Costello from my nan..Best thing that ever happened to me!

  • 6:55

  • awesome, thanx fella

  • memorized whos on first costellos part

  • How does that matter, this stuff is so darn funny milk squirted out my nose....and I wasn't drinking any milk.

  • Great clips! But the description is wrong. This is all from there TV appearances. None of it is from any of their movies.

  • all of the routines were in all of their movies, everyone of them

  • To 'TTTOM' - Yes, all of these routines were also in their movies, but these clips are ALL from TV, none of them are from their movies.

  • I love these guys, I was raised on them since birth.

  • Back when I was a kid, I actually met Abbott at a retirement home. My uncle worked at one of the studios that he worked at. I can remember him being very nice.

This was Classic Comedy at it's best. There will never be another Abbott and Costello. The greats of comedy hands down. Thanks for having this. Made my day.

  • i wish i could meet him (but i can't now :'( )

  • Both of them died before I was born. Lucky.

  • @catsnvegas That is so neat that you actually MET him. That is just soo awesome.

  • @catsnvegas many will try, all will fail, there is only one...

  • @Milhail THERE CAN ONLY BE OOOOOOOOOOOONE! I had to make that reference.

  • @LOLlhuntsman yeah, well, there can be only one highlander as well

  • I have loved A&C ever since I was a child and still do and always will. View my homepage here by clicking on my user name and check out some of my A&C tribute videos. Thank you.

  • They've been my favorite since I was a little kid.

Here's a great example of how to be creative and funny and still be "G Rated".
