  • THAT CUTE

  • it looks good an all except for those bumbs

  • @sapy52 You can make the cap without the bumps. Work a half double crochet instead and it will turn out the same.

  • @tjw1963 Would you do one half double crochet or two?

  • PLEASE WHERE CAN I BUy THAT HAT

  • @faithmtamaseu You may be able to find similar hats on Etsy or Ebay

  • I am interested in making this for my step dad & his dreads for Christmas. Thanks for sharing! How can I upgrade this to a larger size for fitting a man?.

  • @thumbalina223 You will work more increase rounds, and more rounds to make the cap deeper.

  • hey how would i make that hat with out the popcorn stitch..i just want to make a fast beanie

  • @tylerriddles Replace the popcorn with the same stitch as the rest of the cap.

  • its called a dread tam

  • .... I would love to make that hat... but i really don't understand the crochet talk....I just started... ...please can you let me know how to do it in a easier way to explain... Please write me back... Thanks :). Have a peaceful and loving day!

  • Practice and learning the crochet language will help with making the hat. Unfortunately there is not an easier way.

  • thank you so much for your great creative art and your good teaching! i would like to know how to make a beanie hat with a brim but not a brim that you crotchet but like a hard one out of plastic that is inside and you crotchet around it. do you know how to do it? greetings

  • Thank you. I can keep that in mind for a future video once I research a lesson plan.

  • that´s great, i would be very happy if you would do that! the crotcheted beanie cap i got from jamaica has a brim that is knitted (a piece of plastic inside, i guess) so i have to teach myself how to knit now or wait for you to do a crotchet video:)! greetz

  • you could probably do the kind you crochet then like put the plastic on it, then do another crochet brim under it...like make the two brims put the plastic in and sew it shut. Just a thought

  • thank you for your answer and idea! i will try it and maybe post a video if it turns out good;=)!

  • S.O.R.R.Y. TERRY!!!!! I just made a comment looking for starting the Reggae Rasta Popcorn and I JUST FOUND IT!

  • I am glad you found it. There is no one by the name of Terry.

  • Other people will answer questions from time to time.

  • Where is the video to start making the Reggae Rasta Popcorn Cap. The video just shows the popcorn stitch nothing else. Am I missing something here?

  • Hi TJW1963! I have just finished my 1st rasta tam but I need to know how to add elastic. NOt to the full hat but around the edges. Any tips???

    Thanx in advance.

  • You could use some bias tape to cover the elastic or leave it out in the open.I would suggest securing the two ends of the elastic to the points where you want to begin and end, then easing along as you stitch. Either way, I would recommend hand stitching everything in place whether you hide the elastic or leave it out in the open.

  • Ok thanx for the tip. Now do u mean to work the yarn in as I crochet??? If you can would you give me direction on how to...

    Once again thanx a Mill!!

  • Now that I have had more time to think, I have seen round elastic. You could actually crochet right over the elastic as you go or sew it through your stitches.

  • Not my colors but super cool ! I'm a knitter, and I am knitting my first beret pattern.

  • You can make the cap in any color you would like. You can make it all one color if you want to.

  • THIS IS so COOL i could never do that right now but i would so buy one =D

  • I sell caps on Etsy.

  • Ok but can you design one?

  • LOL owned

  • I have learned everything I know from your vid's, I love it. Thank you for all of your hard work. Ive made this hat but I cant get my puff ST's right. Can you tell me what rows to add them? Thank you again for your videos, very nice work.

  • It is something I can crochet. It will be a several weeks before I can get to it.

  • okay, thank you. as long as you can get it. i've tried to do it by reading instructions, but i still don't understand!!

  • Too cool!

  • Great!

  • I love your work! I also checked out your page on Esty. Your hats are wonderful and very reasonably priced too. I have a big head LOL and would love to know the increased variation of the Rhasta hat so it will fit my fat head! I DID make myself a baret for the winter but the brim it too big and falls over my eyes. I would love to redo it in the pattern of this hat variation. THANK YOU for your wonderful work!!!!!!!!!!!
