I am interested in making this for my step dad & his dreads for Christmas. Thanks for sharing! How can I upgrade this to a larger size for fitting a man?.
.... I would love to make that hat... but i really don't understand the crochet talk....I just started... ...please can you let me know how to do it in a easier way to explain... Please write me back... Thanks :). Have a peaceful and loving day!
thank you so much for your great creative art and your good teaching! i would like to know how to make a beanie hat with a brim but not a brim that you crotchet but like a hard one out of plastic that is inside and you crotchet around it. do you know how to do it? greetings
that´s great, i would be very happy if you would do that! the crotcheted beanie cap i got from jamaica has a brim that is knitted (a piece of plastic inside, i guess) so i have to teach myself how to knit now or wait for you to do a crotchet video:)! greetz
you could probably do the kind you crochet then like put the plastic on it, then do another crochet brim under it...like make the two brims put the plastic in and sew it shut. Just a thought
@trillajenn Love the beret I would really like to learn to crochet this beret. it's beautiful I really would love to know how to make it . Do you sell them as well let me know I would like to be able to make it my self but I would purchase if yo are selling them Thanks. respond and let me know God bless
Thank you very much. I appreciate the comment. I also have a crochet blog where I post the patterns. The link to my blog is posted in the "More Info" section next to the video.
T.E.R.R.Y" for some folks is short for Teresa in laymen's terms, but excuse me for using it - I gather you r touchy about it and prefer to be called Teresa!
You could use some bias tape to cover the elastic or leave it out in the open.I would suggest securing the two ends of the elastic to the points where you want to begin and end, then easing along as you stitch. Either way, I would recommend hand stitching everything in place whether you hide the elastic or leave it out in the open.
Now that I have had more time to think, I have seen round elastic. You could actually crochet right over the elastic as you go or sew it through your stitches.
I have learned everything I know from your vid's, I love it. Thank you for all of your hard work. Ive made this hat but I cant get my puff ST's right. Can you tell me what rows to add them? Thank you again for your videos, very nice work.
I love your work! I also checked out your page on Esty. Your hats are wonderful and very reasonably priced too. I have a big head LOL and would love to know the increased variation of the Rhasta hat so it will fit my fat head! I DID make myself a baret for the winter but the brim it too big and falls over my eyes. I would love to redo it in the pattern of this hat variation. THANK YOU for your wonderful work!!!!!!!!!!!

sapy52 11 months ago
@sapy52 You can make the cap without the bumps. Work a half double crochet instead and it will turn out the same.
tjw1963 11 months ago
@tjw1963 Would you do one half double crochet or two?

Practice and learning the crochet language will help with making the hat. Unfortunately there is not an easier way.
