  • You're welcome, capetiger. I'm glad to help out. I like the way Vazdeferenz plays this classic rock tune. I think he's got a really good feel for this song.

  • suena de poca madre, chingon arriba el rey lagarto

    very nice!!

  • Thanks! for the comment mikekayaksfast

  • What chord is that at 1.03 min. ? I am trying to figure out where your fingers are. looks like pointer finger and middle on the 2nd fret. Are you also using your pinkie?

  • He's playing a standard open E chord and adding the dominant 7th note (D) with his pinkie on the 3rd fret of the B string. I tabbed it for you below... the numbers represent where to fret the notes. 0 (zero) being the open string.

    E||0

    B|| 3

    G|| 1

    D|| 2

    A|| 2

    E||0

  • i always use that chord its nice i made a progression out of E, then that chord above, A7, and A7 with the pinkie on the 3rd fret high e good for blues

  • Those fingerings put the dominant 7th on top of both chord forms (E7 and A7). I also like fingerings that put the dom 7th right below the root octave, so you have the tension of the whole step interval. A common form on the piano.

  • Damn nice!

  • I sometimes walk around singing that line xD I get weird looks!

  • great job.....call me sometimes when u have time...

  • nice guitar. thanks a lot for the help!

  • Very nice! One thing that helps is to have your hand rest on the bridge, it gives it more of a bluesy feel.

  • Sultans of Swing and Hotel California where my first two songs I always wanted to play on a guitar, Roadhouse Blues is 3rd, awesome thanks for sharing!.

  • Nice¡¡¡. Viva El Salvador

  • skill son

  • genial

  • if you like a strat and the action ..you might not like the les paul great guitar but heavy and like the other fella says like apples to oranges.. the fender jap isnt to bad ive had one a long time plays good and stays in tune really good.. $ 400.00 range..

  • pretty neat , pretty good my man ...damn !

  • hey whats up im looking to buy a new guitar which fender is that and for all types of music blues rock not so much metalk some alternative which is better the les paul or the fender thnx in advance.

  • Well it's a Fender Stratocaster but I assume you already knew that, looks to be an American series, judging from the bridge construction

  • its a U.S.A standard strat 2004.......very versatile guitar for any style of music....can't really compare it to the les paul because they are very different in every way. I would say to buy both so you can have more options for tone choices

  • i like all of your videos, which song is your favorite to play?

  • I Appreciate all the comments zorinja......I would have to say I enjoy breaking down and learning page's stuff.. his writing versatility makes it interesting.

  • Great song my favorite doors song. I learned to play this the solo would be the hardest part. Overall great vid man you rock Robby would be proud and Jim and Ray and John LOL PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol thx for the words! jimihendrixsite.....

  • Wow, that is really really good :O +fav !!

    Love it !

  • Thanks! Drakillon...glad you like it

  • Are you talking about the blue VTG Soundflex guitar cable that is plugged into the input jack of my guitar..

  • Dang man you ROCK!!!!

  • Thx vansskater33456!

  • tabs please

    AWESOME GUITAR/ PLAYING

  • Thx for the comment! I use ultimate-guitar for tabs, and i have the doors anthology book........i use my ear for polishing because, i find, tabs are never 100%

  • "...I find tabs are never 100%" That's an understatement, vaz!! LOL

    For those of you that rely on tablature, beware that some of the tabs on the internet are horribly wrong. Some are close. In all cases, they are someone's interpretation of what they are hearing on the record.

    I use my ear first, and then if available, watch videos of the original artists to see where on the neck they are playing the songs--to check how good of a job my ear did.

  • keep your eyes on the road

    good play love it

  • SWEET DUDE! That sounds just like it! Rock on!

  • Thank you! for the words thunderkarp.....

  • You're welcome! It sounds very good. I'm learning that song myself. Would you mind telling me the chord your playing at about 1:03? It looks like a hendrix chord haha.

  • Thanks its a cool song to jam on...its a E chord with the b7. So, just play a regular E Major and then add the D note on the B string.

  • Thanks man. Now to tackle the solo :). Long live the doors.

  • The Doors Absolutely Live is My all-time favorite live album.Good Doors jamming!

  • Thanks again!...thats a great album. Live in Phil. is another......

  • hey, this is amazing. keep it up...and this is kind of random but do you live next to a kid named nahome?

  • holy crap... I thought I had it down pretty well then I see your version :P

    did you get the tabs from the anthology book...?

  • thanks! Yes, i have the anthology book and found it good ... I found some other sheet music on pdf and used my ear a bit as well to get the fingerpicking feel he uses.

  • GREAT!!!possible to have the tabs of solo?

  • Thx for the comment. Just sent you an email...

  • wow bro, you my idol, but i play acoustic :S

  • yes..just one word..GREAT!..looking forward to seeing more video from u Vaz....Motor is right..perfectly played...and great tone..oh and cool guitar!

  • Great tone from you Strat here! Perfectly played, too! Great cover, and cool production value, too!

    Peace.

  • Thx! I was trying to get a vintage crunch sound Krieger gets out of the SG..along with a 59 marshall setting.

  • Man, the E chord at 1:02 is to die for! Nice and crunchy! Reminds me of the tone John Fogerty gets out of Tele on the old Creedence Clearwater albums.

  • thanks...i wish i did have an old plexi or vintage marshall but GT8 model amps are really great...I may try and mic the room at some point to create more ambience. I noticed you get great depth with your amp and monitor on the other side of the room.

  • Yes, I mike my amp with a Shure SM57, and position a Peavey PVM-22 near a stereo monitor. I push the mono switch on my stereo to balance the channels for the room mike. These are plugged into an old TASCAM 4-track, but I am only using the mixer function. Then I run a mono cable from a mixed line-out jack to the line-in on my PC. My camera is a tiny Logitech laptop clip-on cam, plugged in USB. I record with MS Movie Maker.

    Probably more than you wanted to know. I like to chat about gear!

  • That sounds like a great set up and quality mics. I read page did similar mic'g techniques when producing some of the zep albums...mic'g the amp, then putting another mic further away....capturing the time lag ..great stuff.
