I LOVED MINDBOMB!!!!! (and still do!) I was in a music store and heard them playing the album, and I asked the cashier who it was and bought it right then..... I still have the CASSETTE that I bought that day.......I also ordered it on CD. It is hard to find now cuz it's out of print........
One of my favorite bands from the 90's. Grunge was hitting hard at the time, so this band didn't get the recognition it deserved.
on a side note, a band I was in back in '94 was recording at Metropolis Studio in Villa Park, IL. We get to the studio and we're locked out of our recording room... wtf? Matt was passed out in the room with two girls. No hard feelings Matt, but you had to get the **** out. we were on the clock, lol.
Tell me why this didnt get any radio play? What...? it had a fokkin guitar solo in it? Guitar solos were evil bad back in the 90's?? There was another band named "Big Wreck" that had a similar situation...insanely good radio worthy album with great rock tunes and didnt get squat as far as radio airtime because they didn't sound like Nirvanna..???WTF??..any other great bands or tunes anybody know of that fits this category?
Good God!!!! I've been searching for this song for year! I heard it on the radio one time years ago and taped it, but I could never find it anywhere. Thank you!!
Is the name of this band Mind Bomb? or Daisy Chain? There was a Chicago based band in the early 1990s by the name of Daisy Chain. They opened up for the Sweet in 1991 in Chicago. What ever the case, this song is pretty good stuff!
Loved them back then and love them now..... Matt is truly talented and it is a shame that he never became a MEGA star! I still have the original yellow cassette of their demo he gave me at the the Whale in 1990! lol!
@mugsymagoo7298 i HAVE IT TOO....I have orginal bassist on my facbook. Used to watch them all the time mid-90's in Chicago, all the time., (I'm the ex-bass player from Mr. Yuk!). Still love these guys, tho.
I really like this band....has a very risque feel to them. I had never heard of them until an old friend mentioned them on Facebook. Thanks again Lance!!! They rock.
One of my fav bands from the 90's. Why they didn't make it bigger is beyond me. This whole CD is nothing but killer tune after killer tune. Too bad it's OOP.
Wow, never thought I would hear this again. Used to play the crap out of this while in Navy school in Pensacola... Shame what BP is doing to that beautiful white sand.
I agree with most, these guys were ahead of their time. I had was lucky and saw them 3 times in Chicago. Great band live. The movie that I know Do You Need Some was in is Cliff Hanger with Stallone. Still love to jam these guys out. I have 2 discs is anyone is interested.
It's on the self-titled 'Mind Bomb' disc which is still around ... wore 2 of them outMatt is still very active in music ... he's very much a part of 'SuperMercado' and 'Matt Mercado and the Amazing Devils' ... both of who have recently released new albums ... Matt is a musical genius ... first saw them live in '93 in Minnesota ... they knocked the socks off the crowd the first night and they again played the second night to do the same ... great band live and a great bunch of guys ...
I saw these guys at the Varsity Theatre in Baton Rouge, LA on the tour for this album back in the 90's. Can't remember who they opened for, but I remember them being very very good live. I love this CD and for the life of me I can't figure out why they weren't more popular. Really cool song and it's nice to see the music is still alive here on YouTube:)
I heard these guys a lot of time ago, since then I am trying to find something about this great band... They play hard!!! Thank you Spencer! Regards from Brazil! Happy new year!!!
totally wrong about a one hit wonder. i knew two of the guys in the band. they're from chicago. Matt may still be playing the circuits here. not sure. i am trying to find the cd. everysong on it is kickass. i am pretty sure another song appears in the movie dazed and confused.
they had other good songs, but i think this is their best, when compaired to other great 80s and 90s bands,
its kindof like (cracker) 1 or 2 great ones the rest are like "be my sugar patato and ill be your honey lamb" or something like that i never got through their stupid songs, lol !
I'm not sure about 'Dazed and Confused, but I DO know that "Do You Need Some?" was in the movie 'Point Break' during a driving scene with Anthony Kiedis and Flea. MIND BOMB was so original, and it was a shame that they didn't have more recognition. I was SO bummed that I turned down the chance to see them play at the Thirsty Whale in Chicago in the early 90s...I hadn't heard of them at that point. What a blown opportunity THAT was. :/ Anyway, I'm still enjoying their music to this day. :)
I love these guys, awesome sound especially for the time.great hooks, wish they were still playing.thanks for posting man,i wore out my copy a long time ago.
wow this guitar player was my brothers neighbor at siu at carbondale and we kicked it with them at champaing illinios. funny thing i found my mind bomb casette tape and was jamming old music and i typed it in and found this. awsome. 5 stars
Met these guys on tour with Love Hate, they were by far the best live act to hit Glasgow, shame record company fucked them over, Jim the drummer can handle more bongs than any human I have ever met..lol
pure awesome

This is a ROCKIN' song!!!! Why they never got much notoriety is beyond me. Probably the mainstream powers thought people would like it too much.

Absolutely ahead of their time. It's too bad that bands like this don't get the credit they deserve.
