  • I see that call works on the women too, they can find you when you're in the middle of filming something.

  • End of September is the peak time for calling moose. I would say anytime from Sept. 26- Oct. 5 you are going to have some pretty good moose calling opportunities (provided of course that you are in an area that has moose). Good luck on your next hunt.

  • Hey Frank, during the end of september, would the moose still come to a call or is it only during fall! Awesome video btw! :)

  • If I ever go hunting, I'm taking him with me.

  • @zippithecat You every been hunting before? Well it's fucken Exhilarating!

  • This is a very good video, I'm teaching my son how to hunt moose & I couldn't have explained it better. This dudes a seasoned hunter

  • Hi I am new to moose hunting and have been watching your wonderful videos. I was just wondering if you had any suggestions on picking areas to call, for when the moose are in rut. What do you look for in a area?

  • I called in a young bull late this morning while bow hunting with this type of calling you demonstrate. Even in the flatlands of North Dakota! I Turned the young bull just to see the effects. Thanks for posting some great videos!

  • is it a waste of time tryin to call moose at the beginning of august?

  • @jabames It is never a 'waste of time' when you are in the great outdoors :) - Moose typically do not respond to a call before about the 15th of September. I think a cow call before then would spook moose more than attract. A couple of soft bull grunts might work to keep an animal in the area as you work your way in.

  • nice one mate

  • rawr

  • What is it about men and killing things.........

  • The tips worked out perfect, called in three bull moose last weekend within a half an hour, none where takers, still searching for that big trophy, but the moose should be in full rut in northern Alberta this weekend, wish me luck, hope to have a nice bull buy the end of this coming weekend.

  • Hey - glad to see that the calls are working for you - My website should be up and running in a couple of weeks - maybe you could post some photos there.

  • Yep - they have some dandies up there. I am heading out for the rut shortly. I just got a new camera and I will try to call something in down south here. If I have some luck I'll post the video. I wanted to add a few tips to the stuff I already have.

  • @FrankRitcey thank you for the tips on calling big bull it will be useful in the coming week because bow season opens tommorrow in B.C

  • which lake are you at,if you dont mind me asking

  • Sorry - and I hope you'll understand but I can't be giving out that type of information. Your best bet for finding good moose areas is to check with government sources - such as the Ministry of Environment - or better yet join a local Fish and Game association. Then it's just a matter of paying your dues by hiking a lot of miles and sitting by a lot of lakes with no moose. I've worn out more than a few pairs of boots in my quest to find some really big moose.

  • Great Video! I'm heading to Alaska to meet up my brother in September and I can't wait for our moose hunt

  • Good luck with the hunt - be sure to post a comment - win lose or draw. I should have some new video this fall as I'm taking out a photographer friend to see if we can't get something to come in for the camera.

  • Damn a beard :D

  • I drew my first ever Bull tag for Oct.15-31 in the Cariboo. This date being near the end of the rut, would it still be possible to call in a Bull using a Cow call? What kind of tactics would you use during this time? Thank you for your help.

  • Hi there: I've taken a number of really nice bulls in the Cariboo in the same time frame. Many of the smaller bulls are very anxious to get some cow action as they know their window of opportunity is closing. The bigger bulls, especially if they have already bred all the cows around them are on the hunt again. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

  • This is hilarious!

Nearly as awesome as his mustache!

  • wheres easier to hunt bears and mooses alaska or canada and i dont get what you do to make the moose call you explained it but i dont get it what you got to do with your voice

  • Alaska has bigger bears but Canada has more bear hunting opportunities. Alaska has big moose but most accounts I have heard says they have been hammered pretty hard the past number of years and they are getting hard to hunt, best bet for moose would be the Yukon or north western BC. Can't really explain the moose call but will try - it's not coming from your mouth - say ahhhh but make it come through your nose and then cup your hands over your nose and mouth to give it volume.

  • dame dat was a nice one bro...!!!

i went alaska huntin for moose and i only see some small ones...but i actually got one tho...its a pretty good size..."6'7"
