I've never done any genetic testing on my family history so I really don't know. If I had to guess, I'd say about 5-10% only because I live in the southeast where blacks tend to be less racially mixed than anywhere in the country.

On my playlist, I have several songs that I absolutely adore. Amoung these are several by Sigor Ros right in a row. Today I put my playlist on autoplay. After hearing all of the Sigor Ros songs, my playlist turned to a song by another band. Is it just me, or does all other music seem somehow shallow in comparison to the poetry of Sigor Ros?

The scenery is very similar to the west of ireland, I used to love driving around co. mayo and co. galway listening to sigur ros. I definitely think the landscape creates an atmosphere for the music.

This is beyond professional.
I'm in no way against people listening to mainstream music and I enjoy the videos often, but they pail in comparison to this. I could watch a Lady Gaga video and think the visuals are interesting, but I could take any still from this and frame it.

It's an Icelandic band. But the singer, Jón þór uses Vonlenska (Hopelandic). It uses emotionative phonems based off language but isn't acctually a language. Just sounds that are melodic put to syntax and chorus, creating a certain mood.

when the hard hitting guitar dirge kicks in it immediately reminded me of some floyd - maybe from THE WALL
and then when the vocals kicked in it reminded me of deftones
they borrow, whether consciously or unconsciously, but they are a very unique sound art noise slow band, what dinosaur jr. and sonic youth wish they could have been, but those two are more noise music and art, sigur ros is more musical and sublime
