  • Holy snap dude this one of the best versions I've heard in a long time keep doing what u do man

  • good shit..

  • are there any other covers on their album or do they just write their own songs

  • Nice job fellas

  • Great shit man I love the band

    McZ

  • I have to agree with the lot. Great vocals, great backline, but you need a growl out of that Strat. 10/10 bro.

  • Great version guys!!!

  • you have to hear knowles play live to be able to say anything about his tone, he has a good sound, this is just a crappy recording. plus look at the song?? its a reaaaally old song, and would be stripped of its "classic" title if it was over distorted or overdriven. his tone did get worse in my opinion when he started playing the PRS instead of the strat.. but thats just me. still awesome.. like it better than when clapton played it.

  • dont like this guys guitar tone too much. does not sound mean enough but he is pretty good on guitar.

  • You can have the licks, but if you don't have the right sound equipment, and the right (AMP SETTINGS), to go with it, you are robbing yourself the promotion to fame, you otherwise might have. JOE BONAMASSA, has mastered the right settings on his amps to compliment every blues lick he plays. I wish Davy would touch base with Joe, and have him show him what equipment to play through, and how to gauge the settings on his equipment, it would help him tremendously.

  • Listen to JOE BONAMASSA play: BLUES DELUXE, at the Rockaplast, and you will see the difference in sound quality. Type in: JOE BONAMASSA, BLUES DELUXE, and click on the one he played at the Rockaplast, and you will see ten thousand worlds of difference in the sound. If someone knows how to get in touch with Davy Knowles, and lead him to Joe to help him with the right sound equipment and settings, then it would help out this group tremendously.

  • amazing band! its good to see young kids playing the classic blues songs! gotta love it!

  • great cover...great voice...fantastic guitar...amazing band...

  • I agree, Jennifer J. This kis is not merely A reincarnated blues master, he's a GROUP PROJECT! Hoooo EEEEE

  • I have to get their albums this is great!

  • I've been lucky enough to catch Davy twice, and he's my new fave player. He's just got that magic "IT" that is so elusive. Play on soul brother.

  • *jaw dropping* can't wait to see DK, PK and Ty again in SFran Dec. 15th at the Independent. This kid is a marvel. spooky reincarnation of many blues-rock greats

  • what f... is this. No words to describe. Simple awesome.

  • Though this song is a rather simple, it didn't matter, as these guys played the crap out of it and made it into a monster...

    Good show guys..

  • duz n e 1 else think he looks like a young peter green plays like the greats to

  • Perfect...

  • this is amazing !! the singing is perfect , and the guitar was great .. but i think you overdid the solo.

  • this is awesome

  • Wow fantastic guitar player

  • un...fuckin...believable. Davy is the best guitarist to come from europe since Peter Green. It's almost like the 2nd coming of the Experience. The rhythm section is great too, or else it would sound like shit - this is (or was now, they are broke up) a great band!

  • Very good job guys.

I am a professional guitarist, and I think you should dismiss the negative criticism in these comments.

Am I nervous about losing my gig to Dave? No.

Do I think he can play? Yes.

Am I glad to see 3 young men embracing a style of music that laid the foundation of rock and roll? Very much.

I think you guys rock. I'd love to jam with you sometime.

  • im not gonna discuss with you but there are a lot of musicians of all levels who can play this song better ,they are good but not the best ,davy or whatever he calls

had talent ,the other two i dont like them sorry, but the music is not about get an instrument and make noise you have to study, have discipline to practice, practice,a lot of rehearsals learn

of the mistakes and if you are a fan of them

i apologize if i offend you but im free to say what i like or dislike or think

  • i don know his name and he is not the best guitar player who plays this song but he can sings and do it very well, the other two are very generic

  • the guitarist's name is davy knowles

  • ok... who plays it better? And dont say Clapton or Hendrix.

  • davy shreds..could use a better rhythm section though.

  • that was awesaome! forgot how amazing blues were with all the crappy music floating around these days =) welcome back blues:D

  • There are a lot of comments, here and elsewhere, about the two players other than Davy Knowles. Well, it's true. They haven't got personalities like, for example, Ginger Baker and Jack Bruce. On the other hand, they support Davy's playing beautifully. Just sayin'.

  • that bassist aggravates me to no end...seriously, this song has soo much feeling as it is, and he just stands there looking bored.

  • Then dont look at him??? Just a suggestion

  • actually, that's NOT a suggestion, since you put question marks after it.

  • different people express emotion different ways for instance im a drummer and when i get into a really intense session i could sit there for dozens of minutes with my eyes glued shut and my face expressionless but my arms are flailing in every which way and are alive with feeling so if you look at the bassist's hands and fingers u can see that he really is into the music, just not much of a showman

  • The boy can rock. Great power trio.

  • jesus crist .. you have the vídeo , you have de sound .. a lot of people in the youtube always asking for tabs .. forget tabs, try to learn the music, use your ear, your soul and your brain!

  • @tleaomurta and dont forget your musical instrument ;)

  • Now that's my kind of jammin'...smokin hot!

  • This is quite possibly my FAVORITE Cream-covered tune!

Great job, guys! I love it!

    Peace~

  • That was Great:)Inspired By the Greats and Created Your Own,Thats What I Call AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!Best Wishes:)

    Bluesy

  • that was sweet!!

  • nicely done guy!! really enjoyed this one!1

    Rob

  • Awesome voice. These guys are smokin! I wonder if he realizes he is headed to by the next guitar great!

  • sounds like eric on vocals, and steve ray on guitar!

  • It does not sound like Steivie Ray Vaughan. He sounds like Jimi Hendrix and (more obviously) Eric Clapton. I have no idea why people say he saounds like Stevie. Stevie had a very distinct tone, and no one else can duplicate it. Trust me, I listen to Jimi, Stevie, and Eric A LOT, and he sounds the least like Stevie.

  • Yeah, He may use some SRV licks here and there, but he sounds closer to a Cream tone, coupled with Hendrix's style. Great band

  • He has done his homework for sure! I think he has done a great job of blending them all together and not sounding like any one in particular! He also has some of Rory Gallaghers sound and phrasing!

  • He has said that Rory is his greatest influence. I don't really listen to Rory but now I think I will!

  • Wow ! I did not know that Rory was an influence when I posted that statement.

Look for Rory Gallagher BBC sessions. It is an excellent 2 cd set with some live performances.

  • sounds good thanks!

  • He also sounds like Jeff Healy! (GOD rest his soul)

  • Just saw them perform om jimmy kimmel and I was hooked. These guys rock, made me stay up alnight and practice my guitar playing. I found out they have a cd out I am going to run and get it. Once again I have to say these guys rock.

  • Oh yeah, looks like nothin' but a great future for these guys...keep it up, it's great so far! Nice jams, would love to see 'em live.

  • Nicely done! Just got turned on to ya...what a great find!!!

  • The man has mad fret skilz.

If you say different, you don't know shit about playin' the guitar. Li'l bit of Jonny Lang, li'l bit of Kenny Wayne Shepard.

    Give it up for BDS.

  • What a fantastic talent. You are going to be BIG 5* ;)

  • Just got turned on to this band a while ago from a pal in south Carolina Mickey, GREAT sound and groove!

Peace to Back Door Slam! Sean from Boston (Love that Dirty Water)

  • the American Idol crowd will not 'get this'....FUCKIN GOOD MUSIC BY THESE LADS

  • American Idol is screwing with music. Everyone on the show sounds the same and just ruin good songs.

  • good voice and playing, like it....

  • your fuckin retarded...period. He is one of the best singer/guitarists since the greats (hendrix,SRV)

  • fffffffffffffffff uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • Martin its you vs everyone who knows of back door slam on that one.

    fact.

  • and also ur the first person in the world to dis them

    congratulations.

  • It sounds fucking good to me, that's all i care about...side note, whens your nexdt appearence on tv?

  • Ostentatious?? Where do you see him trying to show off. He's putting his emotions into a solo. What more can you ask of a musician than them putting themselves out there in their music? "This guy would be an okay guitarist..." Are you seriously saying that he isn't even okay? You're a joke.

  • Ive got to say I disagree. He has phenomenal feel. He is also very young. He did rip some licks but shit who doesn't, he place them with passion and thats what its all about. Hes feelin it . . . .

In the future you may see it differently who knows . .

  • The fact he does go over the top, and does it well is why he's as good as both of them mentioned.

  • These guys are the Real Deal......

  • WELLLLLL GOOD ;)
