  • he's my instructor too...but he's no longer in Singapore right??? i guess he's went back to Malaysia. Although he's been my instructor, he's never shown us his sparring only his kick. He does kick very high....VERY VERY HIGH. AND GOOD

  • @MrAngelinalovesyou you'll see him sparring when you are training in the competition team though, i was always thrashed by him

  • The round kick did not even connect.

    Look at 3.18. 3.22 - 3.26. as well.

    Good fight.

  • hes really tall.

  • yeah~he's my instructor~

  • i think i know this tall guy!!!!!! i remember meeting him somewhere in singapore

  • wat yr was this, wasnt the electronic scoring board suppose to be there?

  • omg. headhunter. he just haven meet someone taller than him thats all. I think i can take him down. Oh i pratice taekwondo too.

  • full face helmet is excellent for full contact martial arts as it allows you to kick the face without injuries.

  • ya well said banglacow, i am from singapore myself and through my years of practice, i have seen many taekwondo talents, just that we dont have the resources and support to help them reach the level to compete against the top.

  • It takes a lot of guts to fight at this level, who was your instructor in Malaysia, Suren ?

  • There are talents in Singapore, just that they are not developed to their potential. There were and there are fighters that can be world standard.

Nothing is impossible, even in small Singapore.

    Just have to believe.

  • @banglacow

Actually the so-called talents we have here are all part timers.

Full timers would be rather difficult as only then , would you be able to have a world or olympic standard. You need everyday training and frequent exposure to the sporting world (matches) in order to further advance. Seeing its Singapore ; depends on whether the individual is able to make it or not. All depends on support as well. Family , organisations , friends all make a difference here.

  • hey boy the tall guy..u are slow if want to challenge the shorter guy is better..but he is shorter..ur cresent kick over short somemore actuualy ur kick nv kick the head at all just touch only..lol ur skill r not good

  • Lol, another weight cat abnormality with Red towering over Blue. Don't know whats the pride in scoring crescent kicks to the head on a shorty. Beat someone your own size up, buddy.

  • I think STF should be more focused on potecting the head. I was kicked by my opponent and half of my tooth droped off. By the way can anyone teach me how to protect my face much better? thanks

  • use kendo head protector.

  • wear moto helmet when sparing

  • Make it a full face one, motor helmet

  • @newborn88

I am not a practitioner of taekwondo , well , have stopped for quite a long time , from my own personal experience , you need to spar more and learn to protect your face. A good stance would be to stand at 45 35 angles. Keep your focus on the opponents feet as well. Feet and waist give tell tale signs , as well as , shoulders. But you would need more sparring experience to quickly deal with it.

  • hey man

I want you to be the critic of our hotel california cover :)

check our video please and comment

    keep with the good stuff

  • I can see the SPO of these fighters. Do you go to Mr. Kim's school in Singapore? He trained me at his Boston school for 6 years. Great round-house to the face at 1:37. 1 day I blew my opponent's helmet with a 360 degree to the head.

  • STF should have gotten a bigger sized referee to officiate this match. It was only later on that they made the switch. His opponent should have kept closer to him as he was shorter and was often out of range. Nonetheless both showed fighting spirit.

  • hmm. not bad. He has the size and the speed. Opponent was too rash though.. ran into his kicks

  • Hey, cool vid.. can i haf da song title dat's on da vid pls.. tkx.. :)

  • its like retarded tekken

  • haahha lol

  • what weight catergory is this eh?

  • Not sure....i forgotten...i think it was feather

  • He is the Real Deal. Felt his kick. Solid.

  • Wow...reply from YunY~~~ My pleasure~~~

  • I saw alot of great kicks connect! He has a mean round kick, double front snap kick, and heel kick!!! Reminds me of myself in my Tae Kwan Do days~ Love the vid!! Great song choice.

  • cool! pretty good job with the video editing!

looking forward to seeing u fight this year! i'm sure u won't disappoint us!

  • erm machookhl.. you're nt from singapore right.?

  • yeah it was last year's video...

I just kinda feel that that song fits the mood of the video...hehe

    yeah...i'm not from singapore..

  • wads wif the music anyway. making me so nervous.. zzz

  • was this last years' video? o.O

  • And also...like the national competition, even if you win a gold medal, you won't get any price.........I'm fighting this year, i'm fighting for pride and honor...

  • ooo

so it would be very easy to get on the signapore national team?

its soo hard in the US

theres like 25 people if not more in your division

  • Yeah......relatively easy than other countries.........Singapore doesn't attach importance to taekwondo.....national team members only get S$3 dollars (about 2 US) everyday for transport.....and i think....that's about it....yeah.....very bad welfare

  • these guys are fighting on a national level?

  • Yeah......may be you don't know.....singapore is a very small country, and taekwondo in singapore is quite lousy i can say that......most of the "dojang" are only teaching forms....but my dojang is totally different from the others......you know......we do street fighting, competition, grappling and a lot more.....so people in our school are all able to fight...

  • tall as hell...

  • Not that tall actually, it was just that his opponents were too short, he's 1.78m.
