Allowing firearms in federal parks was not a 'granting' of a priviledge, it was the removal of restrictive regulations which denied guaranteed Constitutional rights of the citizens who used such resource. It was a good thing, I agree, but it's only a small step in protecting and restoring that right to all citizens. That we are all guaranteed these rights is not making shit up, it's a fact.

I was in the army for 3 years 2003-2006 aviation mechanic And I know for a fact the m4 carbine is not fully automatic. It has a 3 round burst which fired 3 rounds consecutively . Be reminded that President Obama has no authority to pass bills in Congress; he only has the authority to sign bills into law or veto them.
It is possible that gun control measures could pass the House and the Senate and the bill would be on the President's desk where he would either sign into law or veto the bill. More than likely, Obama would sign such a bill to law.
If Obama vetoed the bill, however, Congress can still pass the bill to law with a 2/3rd's vote of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
At that point, the only recourse would be to file a suit with the Supreme Court of the United States. If the law is found unconstitutional, it would be repealed. Otherwise, it still stands as law.

Allowing firearms in federal parks was not a 'granting' of a priviledge, it was the removal of restrictive regulations which denied guaranteed Constitutional rights of the citizens who used such resource. People should look up gun related homicides and gun related crime in countries with and without gun control, say for example UK, Germany or something and US. Don't comment on this saying that there isn't any trend there until someone has seen the report by the World Health Organization (UN body). If a nation as a whole wishes to have guns, that's fine. But the facts are that stricter gun laws lead to fewer gun related deaths and crime, both proportionally and overall.

Hunting rifles also share this history, but a history of necessity. Sigh, I'm generally FOR gun control, but the guys have a point. Most pistols can't penetrate Body Armour, no matter what the calibre, (Although they can still incapacitate you with the force of the hit) while most Rifles will. It's all muzzle velocity and cartridge size and specs, I'm afraid.

no it will just keep fully automatic weapon from being circulated. If a law abiding citizen can't get a fully automatic assault rifle then the criminals won't have one to steal from the law abiding citizen. If you think you need a fully automatic assault rifle then you are either mentally ill or not a law abiding citizen . (unless your historian.)

a criminal will find other means of questionable legality to acuire them. they don't just obtain firearms through theft, although that is were a large quantity of their firearms come from.

if we're responsible gun owners what does it matter if its fully auto or not? the 2nd amendment was meant to let any non criminal citizen own a firearm. not a nuke, or rocket launcher but ANY handgun, rifle, or shotgun....including fully auto weapons. This is not up for discussion, its what the 2nd amendment states.... and the reason for this was apparent back then. lets not forget that it could happen at any time wether we believe so or not. "Pray/hope for the best, be prepared for the worst"

or it will just require that you learn how to aim instead of buying a fully automatic weapon. Army issued standard m4 carbine collapsible rifle doesn't even have a full auto option. Why would a civilian need a full auto when a soldier don't even need one?

I was in the army for 3 years 2003-2006 aviation mechanic And I know for a fact the m4 carbine is not fully automatic. It has a 3 round burst which fired 3 rounds consecutively . And we do not spray the target. I am an eagle eye I got 38 out of 40 targets and aimed each round down the range. like I said you don't need a fully automatic weapon unless you can't aim . I didn't need it when deployed in a combat zone you don't need one either. I support a ban of all "Assault weapons"

false the M4 is a burst weapon but the M4A1 (which is much more common in combat roles currently that the older M4) is fully automatic

It's not just the liberals that support gun bans so do moderates, and a few conservatives, most people are against heavy gun control.
I don't support gun bans not even assault weapon bans but I don't have problems with waiting periods that may prevent someone immediately buying a firearm during an emotional dispute and killing someone.

Be reminded that President Obama has no authority to pass bills in Congress; he only has the authority to sign bills into law or veto them.
It is possible that gun control measures could pass the House and the Senate and the bill would be on the President's desk where he would either sign into law or veto the bill. More than likely, Obama would sign such a bill to law.

If Obama vetoed the bill, however, Congress can still pass the bill to law with a 2/3rd's vote of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
At that point, the only recourse would be to file a suit with the Supreme Court of the United States. If the law is found unconstitutional, it would be repealed. Otherwise, it still stands as law.

I am an Independent as well, but I don't understand where you are coming from. I own guns (You may not believe me as many people do not), but I actually do. My guns have not yet been taken away. If they are, then you are 100 percent correct, and I would hate Obama. But they haven't been!!! Dennis Kucinich is not president.
