This is the first time I've seen this movie and I must say that John Hurt did an amazing job playing John Merrick. When he was walking into the hospital earlier, the way he was breathing and the limp, it was incredible, it seemed so real. I find it hard to believe that the man who played whimsical characters like Quentin Crisp and Caligula was able to portray John Merrick so well. It really adds to the realism and emotion of the film.

Just wanted to say that. Hope your enjoying the movie too <3
