i did everything you said just so I could make two clips show up on one shot without the transitions and movement, but when I select the clip, then all of the key frames and typed in 51 and pressed enter, it did not effect the clip. what happened??

@EinYeTi make sure you have the desired clip selected into the Viewer when you are adjusting the effects

I'm new to FC but familiar with other software. I'm trying to do a compilation of three clips next to each other that together fill out the screen from left to right (black bars at top and bottom, I dont want to change the aspect ratio) - Sequence is 1440x1080, so I scale the clips down so that each is 480 px wide. Yet there are still empty spaces in between. Tried the same with other resolutions, it keeps happening. This shit fucks me up bad!

Any ideas? '_'

this was really helpful, thanks! but one question- how do i do it if i only want to split a screen into 2 instead of 3? i tried doing something like the same thing what you did, but i had trouble in the first animation when reducing the first clip smaller, it wouldn't let me reduce it only so its vertical and half the screen, not in the corner. how can i do that?

Just try and mess with it, you will probably have to crop your clip in half.
