Hello guys, I have a Mini Lst2 with Mamba Micro Pro 6800KV 60/20 and the max speed is 27MPH ... Is Xcelorin motor so fast (35MPH) as you write? Which is your gear setup?
hey man i have basically the same setup as you . it rocks wicked fast as well does about 35-40mph on radar gun depending ongear setup. have you had any trouble with defective esc's. i have gone through about 5 in the 08-09 year. please answer back. wondering if i am the only one who had major problems.
Yes, burned out the esc, after about five or six uses. Common I think. To be fair, I had geared it a bit too high. There is chart on Losi,s site with suggested gearing (which I did not follow) and it may have been the problem. Trying a Dynamite Firefly esc for now.
thanks for the reply nice to know i'm not the only one who had problems. i dont think gearing is the problem i have tried to fallow the chart pretty closely and it still burned up. could just bebad battery or design. who knows.
I may give the Losi set up a go again, as the Dynamite one is not adjustable, and how I have it the performance is very poo! Going to have a fiddle at the w/e.
hey its adamroui123 i lost my passwords and made a new acount, but anyway i too am going to give losi another go since the repairs are still under warranty and i cannot get a refund. plus its the only good adjustable esc i know of for a 1/18t.
Let us know how you get on, and see if you can stick to Losi`s gearing chart, to see if that actually makes a difference- I think just a smaller pinion is needed. Good luck.
had esc for a couple weeks now, working great no problems did fallow gearing chart this time and changed battery connectors to traxxas high current connectors. i think that the problems with the esc are just over gearing motor and terrible battery connectors. hope this helps, let me know how yours works out.
had no problems thus far with esc had it for over 2 months seems like i got all the problems worked out. also found a solution to servo problems by using Jr sm22 servos they cost about the same as stock servos and need little modification to be compatible with standard chassis. good luck.
dude change your battery connection to deans... those will melttttt! losi will even tell you that those connections are crap... impressive wheelspeed tho, hope it doesnt cog on you when in the heavier grass
I am guessing somewhere in the thirties right now, but it does need setting up better than it is. Early days. Ideally I would like mid forties, but with a level of control and a reasonable run time on the battery.
Bigger battery next, I think, and more trial runs.
I have not used it outside yet due to the weather, so I don,t know how fast it will go or what the run times will be like. I will stick another clip up as soon as I do.
ur steering servo sounds weak

I did change to Deans shortly after the vid. Good call. There was a little cogging, as I had it a bit overgeared. Sorted now. Cheers.

What battery are you using?
losimaster117 3 years ago
A Losi 7.4 20c 1650mah 2 cell lipo. Pretty good, but a little expensive at £30 odd . General use gives 15-25 minutes.
