wow... and for those people who dont know, this IS possible. if russia attacks america, or if america attacks russia, both of the countrys populations will be measured in dead bodies. both our countries can light up like the sun. just a reminder of how much power is ready to be used. then again, probablly no one would have the balls to launch nukes at each other konwing that theyre probbably going to cause the end of the world. hope they dont.

Australia is an ally of the US, and if Russia and the US, or China and the US go to war, then the US AND it's allies will be nuked.

So, the belief that Australia is "safe" from a nuclear war is wrong. Sorry :(

@WTCTribute Well, no one is really "safe" from nuclear war. Even if a country managed to not be nuked directly, they could look forward to a post apocolyptic wasteland, nuclear winter and extreme radiation spikes. Humanity, as we know it, would cease to be. Let's just hope the people with their fingers on the red buttons are smart enough to realize this. It's a lot of faith to put in a bunch of idiots.

@WTCTribute what makes you so sure australia would get nuked? Australia has no nukes itself. It doesn't make a lot of sense to nuke a non-nuclear country. Not when there are nuclear ones around who can strike back if you don't flatten them completely the first time around.

@Gaiacarra But if you're looking at MAD and things like the old soviet deadhand as well as the sheer amount of missiles these nuclear powers have to launch, there would be no reason not to launch at your enemies strategic allies. Nuclear war is still war, and the goal of war is to destroy your enemy's ability to fight, the ally of an enemy still constitutes an enemy, nukes or not.

This game is really hard to play no matter at all if u have subs and missles in the right place ur enemy will launch anyway and destroy you if u try to attack them the way to win is to launch a couple of missles force them to launch and hitem with subs :)
