I learned something for this video. I have been trying to figure out how to make a cloak with my fleece blankets and my poncho's, I'm going to find something to use for the pebbles and try this. I really like the idea.
hey i think your from uk arent u cld u give me a link or place wear u got it from cos ive seen one on military mart but it might not be the same one ?
Mike, nice video. I'm late to the party so i'm still making my way thru the older content. This is an oldie but a goodie. I'm going to mod my wool blanket with peacoat buttons, reinforced button slits and 4 sewn on belt loops. I see u have the Craghopper pants, I'm curious as to how tall you are and if you bought the long length pant. I'm 76 inches tall so I'll probably go with the long's. Can u review the Craghopper BG pants and the lined winter version if you own them as well?
I love the cloak trick! I can't tell you how many blankets I've destroyed making field-expedient ponchos when the night temp unexpectedly dropped while I was pulling guard duty or laying still in a hide site on recon. Again, nice rigging prep.
It's not very often that I see something new that floats my boat, but I have to say that's a wicked idea with the blanket. I'm thinking I have a nice lighweight microfleece blanket that's going on my next outing. Cheers 5*
I like what Dave did with his blanket, but I got to say that I like yours the most. Great video!!! I love it. Thanks for all the videos. They are great.
Great idea! I tried this method and it works well. I adapted this concept to use Dave's "Ranger Bands" and it only took about 2-3 seconds to create and secure the blanket. Give it a shot!
Yet again another great idea hun. You always come up with the best stuff & I like the way you used the pebbles to do it up. It looks good, its easy to do & I'm sure a lot of people will use your method.
Exceptional video, I love the technique you are using which could also be easily applied to a tarp to make a poncho if you run into rain without rain gear.
Thanks for the video. I like seeing the different methods and uses that people have for their blankets. Keep the videos coming, always a pleasure to check them out.
Fantastic! Ill have to employ this on my next camping trip.

Nice one mate.
A neat little trick is to put a bight on the clove hitch, this makes undoing the clove hitch (aka jam knot) under tension a lot easier :)
