  • Wonderful! Great improvement on the Match Coat that uses a sharpened stick or pin to hold the coat together! Thank you for the info.

  • very clever

  • I learned something for this video. I have been trying to figure out how to make a cloak with my fleece blankets and my poncho's, I'm going to find something to use for the pebbles and try this. I really like the idea.

  • Good video

  • hey i think your from uk arent u cld u give me a link or place wear u got it from cos ive seen one on military mart but it might not be the same one ?

  • how big is that blanket?... im a pretty dam big american and was wondering if a wool blanket would look goofy on me in this config. b/c of that?

  • 6:14 assassin creed moment XD

  • lol do u guys have a snuggie trick also???

  • Mike, This is genius my friend!

  • Outstanding!

  • So what kind of jacket is that you keep in your pack?? Great blanket idea! Do you wear hiking boots or something lighter?? Thanks again..

  • Very nice video! Something I never would have thought about doing with the pebbles!

  • Mike, nice video. I'm late to the party so i'm still making my way thru the older content. This is an oldie but a goodie. I'm going to mod my wool blanket with peacoat buttons, reinforced button slits and 4 sewn on belt loops. I see u have the Craghopper pants, I'm curious as to how tall you are and if you bought the long length pant. I'm 76 inches tall so I'll probably go with the long's. Can u review the Craghopper BG pants and the lined winter version if you own them as well?

  • Great tip mate.Keep them coming.

  • Yes I would like to know what those pants are thanks.

  • Fryer Tuck?

  • Great! Love It!

  • Isn't the hood and jacket basically the Scottish great kilt?

  • awesome! nice music too

  • I've done a million and one diffrent things with a blanket, but The rock thing really was a good idea! I never thought of that... Thanks for the vid!

  • Great Vid!!!!

  • This is off topic, but what brand pants are those?

  • That is talent to use that blanket in so many ways no wonder dave is a wool blanket champion.

You did a great job explaining this quality production.

  • well, I guess you noticed that the blanket hammock/chair needs to be put up higher, your actually touching the ground lol

  • Very nice with the pebbles. Thanks for this video! Something I'll be using in the field for sure

  • Good video Thanks for sharing.

  • best I've seen yet.. Bravo!

  • Great vid, I use wine corks instead of pebbles, lighter and they float!

  • Nice very useful!

  • Nice video, every bit as good as daves.

  • I love the cloak trick! I can't tell you how many blankets I've destroyed making field-expedient ponchos when the night temp unexpectedly dropped while I was pulling guard duty or laying still in a hide site on recon. Again, nice rigging prep.

  • Damn! What a great idea. Thanks for sharing.

  • Veeery clever.

    Where d'ya get your blankets?

  • It's not very often that I see something new that floats my boat, but I have to say that's a wicked idea with the blanket. I'm thinking I have a nice lighweight microfleece blanket that's going on my next outing. Cheers 5*

  • legendary. You're great at presenting these videos.

  • That prity fucking cool, Wool Blanket going in my survivle kit.

  • @viatus hell yeah wool even insulates when wet! cant get better than that :]

  • This is great! You truly are the man! Thank you for all the knowledge

  • I like what Dave did with his blanket, but I got to say that I like yours the most. Great video!!! I love it. Thanks for all the videos. They are great.

  • Very clever!

    I gotta test it out.

  • Wall2rockclimber,

Great idea! I tried this method and it works well. I adapted this concept to use Dave's "Ranger Bands" and it only took about 2-3 seconds to create and secure the blanket. Give it a shot!

  • Keep up the good work!!!! =DDD

  • Nice. The pebble idea was genius.

  • I really like your Wool blanket vid. Good work buddy.

    Jon

  • Nice one mate.

A neat little trick is to put a bight on the clove hitch, this makes undoing the clove hitch (aka jam knot) under tension a lot easier :)

    5*

  • Great idea...best method I've seen short of a blanket pin.

  • Brilliant idea

  • nice job...i will definatly use this trick

  • thanks it may come in very handy one day 5/5

  • Nice job, appreciate the vid mate.

  • cool tricks,,, 5/5

  • Great video. Thanks for showing how to do this.

  • Great info. Thx.

  • Yet again another great idea hun. You always come up with the best stuff & I like the way you used the pebbles to do it up. It looks good, its easy to do & I'm sure a lot of people will use your method.

    Mrs D

  • Exceptional video, I love the technique you are using which could also be easily applied to a tarp to make a poncho if you run into rain without rain gear.

  • Good thinking.

  • Thanks for the video. I like seeing the different methods and uses that people have for their blankets. Keep the videos coming, always a pleasure to check them out.
