Mitsubishi Australia made some of our country's best cars, a great deal of effort and workmanship put into each and every one. I do agree the Japanese company seriously limited MMAL's options like we were irrelevant, such as limiting the company to the 380, and even in the 90's (conveniently leaving out all the upmarket features from the Diamante design when it was sent over here). Still, I can't see these cars going any time soon, people are willing to maintain and restore them like classics.
It was the japs, Mitsubishi Australia manufacturing was set up to fail, they could have built Lancers, they could have built Pajeros, but the Japs said NO! NO! NO! build big ugly 380, as a result myself and my son have lost their jobs, thanks McEniri, go down with the Mitchubishi (his words) Maru please..
