The violin solo was played by Graham Smith of VDGG and String Driven Thing. He also wrote the music -- not the words -- but the music. Peter put the words on afterwards. Great stuff, is it not?

Yes I feel the same, I used to see them live in concert in the late 60's early 70's but have a listen to the music of Agalloch, especially the albums - Mantle, Ashes Against The Grain and The White EP.
