It took me 5 tries to beat this boss.

The 1st one was because I din't know he was there.

The second one of not knowing his attack power

Third of underestimating his HP

The fourth of underestimating his crystals.

Fifth I finaly beat him with a regular attack from mallow as a last resort....

Try defeating him with crystals first.

If you just kill Culex first then the 2nd Smithy form is harder.

i remember fighting this guy after i had unlocked his door. i had peach and geno on my team, and he wooped my entire team's asses all over the floor!!!!it took literally 5 hours to beat him!!!!!talk about one hell of a fight!

Hey smartas, it's both. In Super Mario RPG, it was possible to fight a secret battle against Clulex, of the FINAL FANTASY series. This theme, is the theme that plays when you fight Clulex in SMRPG, and is also the Boss Battle theme of Final fantasy. There's a couple changes in the theme when it was used in SMRPG, and he based this video off of THAT one.
