Where did you get the shotty Solid Beaver? I'm new to this game. Did you buy it, or did I miss where you found it? If you don't remember, don't worry about it.
Is it only gecko or are all unmanned units not considered kills when destroyed (thinking of those nasty three handed bugs we see later on in the game that i love to grenade launch...)

Ok so I had one kill at the end of this. My earliest save was right at the beginning of the turret battle on the truck and I naturally assumed I must have killed someone that climbed up and got in front of the turret. So I replayed it. Over. And over. So finally I went to the mission briefing and picked the save from before the truck battle to see my stats. The one kill is still there. The only person I used lethal ammo on was Octo. Any thoughts? Because I now have to start this damn act over.
@wearethearchers Before octo there are lots of soldiers you might've accidentally killed. Remember only use CQC throwdowns/grabs, if you grab just release and stun with your knife, careful not to stab them with R1. You should only use mk2 and knife, try redoing all act 2 if you got another safe and be extra cautious.
@solidbeaver I never equip the knife, I only use CQC and the Mk. 2 which is why I asked if you had any other ideas. Thanks anyways though, just gonna have to redo this act. My least favorite too D=
@wearethearchers Oh, you did mentioned your save was BEFORE the truck battle. What I have in mind is maybe, just maybe, you killed Laughing Octopus in human form. You can only use lethal in its BEAST form. It's THAT or maybe somehow you killed one FROG with the bombs Octopus shoots at you. I always knew that if you didn't directly kill an enemy it wasn't your kill (eg. shooting at a barrel and making the PMCs die because of the explosion), but maybe in that battle, it DOES count.
@solidbeaver I used V-ring ammo on the Beauty. I covered my tracks well lol this time after each save I'm just going to use the mission briefing method to check my stats. At least your 6-11 vids are getting extra views from me lol.
I have a question, is it possible to get more than one emblem in a playthrough? I'd like to knock out as many emblems as I can, would I also unlock the Octopus emblem if I follow this (and the Stealth Suit because of the Octopus emblem)? Thanks in advance!
@wearethearchers Yes, if you see the end of this walkthrough you'll see I unlock all of the emblems from the first row. Because if you meet the requirements for a BBE you are also meeting the requirements for the others. You can also unlock others too like the Frog emblem (100 rolls or something) in only one playthrough, so yes.
@lordc88 You're probably using Lethal ammo. You can check if you have non-lethal ammo for your shotgun by opening the weapon window with R2 and going to Twin Barrel. If there are different ammo options and you have V. Ring ammo, then just tap circle till you select it.
You have to roll at a long distance, but not long enough to make sure you get into the checkpoint. Or the easier way is trick it into kicking (you just get close to the Gekko but not so close just to make him kick but not get you), and once he has kicked just roll into the checkpoint.
I told you, you shouldn't worry about it so much. Listen if you finish act 3 at about 3 hours you are perfect and if you finish act 4 in less than 4 hours you are good. You will need like 1 hour minimum to finish last act.
Your ammo becomes unlimited during the Act 2 Truck Escape/Act 3 Bike Chase. I just switched to V-Ring Ammo. You get it somewhere...I don't remember, check the last parts it's between the start of South America and ths part.
Oh, one more thing, on Octopus fight, theres sleep FROGS on the ground, when u attack Octopus she send u some flying mines or something, if the mine explotes near a FROG and the impact kill her, it counts as a kill for you??
ah at least 90% sure the kills were coming from me not doing a thing about the hostages at the very start.. i used your magazine toss on that same guy and one or two play boys.. at the start this time.. zero kills now on to act 3 :D
ive played this act maybe 4 times all the way through on big boss now with always the same resulting 1 or 2 kills.. the good news is my time is 01:32:36.. but its really starting to piss me off thats for sure.. lol...
how do you make the twin barrel a non lethal weapon cos it doesnt allow me to do anything in the menu when i go to the weapon

@ryanboy13 That area and the bike chase in act 3 give you infinite ammo throughout the whole area. By the way learn some grammar.

id say that you play first on normal than you should buy the M82A2 rifle, its VERY effective against gekkos = 2 shots and down

I told you, you shouldn't worry about it so much. Listen if you finish act 3 at about 3 hours you are perfect and if you finish act 4 in less than 4 hours you are good. You will need like 1 hour minimum to finish last act.

Well as you've seen here I used the Twin Barrel to take the powered suits down. The gekko's are unmanned they never count as kills.

You can kill their beast form, but when they are in beauty form, out of their suit. if you kill it will count as kill.
