  • One thing you shouldn't overlook is the fact that many people come from LR 501 attys prior to going str8 to 6V. The thing is the amount of liquid poured to a 501 is about half the amount you need to put into an 801 atty. Therefore if the 801 adapter is not started off right you risk of overheating the unit. My advice is to pour about ten 8 drops the first time. Then when you are vaping just pour the tip of the dropper into it everytime you refill. That has worked for me.

  • Hi Casey, I've bought three 801 attys and two of them stopped heating. The bottom part is not broken at all. I hope I can get mine replaced. (still waitingon the customer service department for a reply :) )

I own two Prodigies 3.1 and one Icon with LR attys.

I know its not my fault. 801 is the best vaping experience when functional.

  • I have to really crank down pretty hard to get my 501 atomizer to get far enough in to make the connection, but once it does, it's off to the races!

  • quite supplying shoddy products then you won't need to make daft videos

  • I bought an 801. I like watching women tighten and screw things. I hope she's the one who tested my mouthpiece :D

  • good tip , luckily i only ruined 1 atomizer before i learned not to over tighten it.

  • Is it the atomizer or is it the prodigy's threaded end that you risk breaking?

  • The atomizer. The threaded end is only glued into the atomizer housing , it can break and come loose , tearing out the connections inside.

  • Is the threaded end that is attached into the Prodigy's battery casing pretty solid? Or do you think that it can break too?

I'm asking because I'm getting ready to buy a Prodigy and I'm curious if I should buy a spare switch. (The switch is the part that contains the threaded end of the battery casing, right?)

    Thanks!

  • just be gentle like anything else , don't force the threads an you will be fine , i don't think you can ruin a prodigy adapter by forcing it on to tight. You will know when it's attached.

  • Is the switch the part that contains the threaded end of the battery casing?

  • I had a problem with the 901b atomizer from overtightening. I wouldn't say my screwing skills are overzealous I just think the quality of the glue used to hold the inner-workings in place is of shit-tier quality and needs to remedied with something more permanent, eg soldering.

In my example, the atomizer came completely loose, came completely out, and turned freely while screwing so the result was a blocked carburetor.

  • Great!
