I canceled the account after only using it once.

I compared it to my Magellan nav running at the same time.

TeleNav was slow at refreshing the screen, showed me on the wrong streets and did not give accurate directions.

Tried to let it warm up, so to speak, and it still got things wrong.

So while it's a cool idea, two thumbs down on it.

When I called to cancel (another issue, they don't make canceling easy), told them all this. They were nice and did not give me a hard time.

We pay for the phone and the mostly bill. It's kind'a f-ed that the developers refused to let people pay a full payment of 30$ or so.. 10$ a month is outrageous!

I agree with you there, it should be a one-time payment rather than a monthly charge.

I suspect this business model, a monthly charge will doom the program since many, like you and I, don't want to keep adding charge upon charge upon charge to a monthly bill.

For the record, I tried it out under their 30 day trial period.

It installed fine and whatnot, but it SUCKED here in the Bay Area. I have a NAV on my car so I was able to compare operation.

The thing worked very slow.
