  • Silent Knight - Stayin Busy

  • I don't like the dragged intro of the original version, as it takes so long for the chord progression of the chorus to arrive, which is what makes the song for me. Blake took this and used it to the songs emotional advantage. Having said this, the original has value in its acoustic aspects and harmonies. I think both versions leave much to be desired by way of a congruous bassline throughout though.

  • Are all good things from Canada??!

  • @OssianPosse no.

  • Best top comment I've ever seen

  • thats her song, not blakes one!

    like both interpretions ;)

  • Wow great job on this. I'm inspired to pick up my camera a go shoot!

  • This girl's clearly gone into her garden and filmed as much random shit as possible as close as her camera would allow her. Kinda works I suppose.

  • Good song

  • Beautiful artwork Monica, on a beautiful song.

  • I like Feist a lot more than James Blake, but I like James Blake's version of this song better.

  • so easy! i fell in love with this song..

  • super fan!! ♥

  • I just saw her yesterday and I was hoping she sang this one, she didn't, but it is a really great concert!

  • @iggydablooranger ill try to find her filthy interview

  • Guys, I like both the James Blake version and the Feist version, when I'm in the mood for some chilly electronic music I listen to James Blake, and when I want a song to listen to when I'm in a happy mood, I listen to Feist. Problem solved.

  • i thought blake as a music genious till i heard this. blake's still a great talent though :)

  • Hey! this is nice!

  • The fact that this is one amazing song is beside the point at the moment: this video and the video footage only failed. We know there has to be someone taking video, but we should not be able to see you in the reflection in the water on the ground. That happened at many points in the video, such as at 2.20 minutes to 2.32 minutes. Also, at 2.38 minute mark, your foot entered the scene = worst part of the video. Make a new video, because you ruined this one.

  • James Blake most certainly DOES give credit to Feist for this original whenever asked about the song. what do you expect him to do? yell "THIS SONG IS A COVER" to the world from his bedroom window whenever it's played somewhere? artists cover songs...it's an honor when they do...and he doesn't hide the fact that it's a cover.

  • Don't be hatin' on James Blake, even if you hate his version then atleast you know there's still Feist's version to listen to. And for those people who didn't know Feist before: now you do. ^^

  • This is my favorite song in the world.

  • Feist version or James Blake version. I like them both. They are just great artists with different type of AWESOME music.

  • Ok Guys! Let´s behold it from another angle.

    1. Feist = Original -> check

    2. James Blake makes money out of a copy -> check

    3. Feist earns money too...I think...hmm....YES.....niiiiiiiiiice -> check

    4. James Blake = male, Feist = female -> check

    5. Money isn´t important at all ------> check

Thank you James Blake - Now I got to know Feist. A wonderful artist

  • Does anyone knows if there's a french version/cover of this song? :) Or say, anything similar.

  • TBH, Blake's version has a much greater feeling.

  • Knocks me out, sublime, awesome !

  • Genial composition

  • Nice but i do like James' version better

  • ooooooooohhhhhh man!!!!!! makes me sad that people think james blake wrote this...

  • why didnt james blake give her credit in his song ..

  • @xhardxcorexfoox Cause he doesn't have to IN the song, he did in the album credits though.

  • SILENT KNIGHT!

  • i love love love the trouble that you give me

  • them both are awesome in different ways. fucking moaning bastards. chill the fuck out

  • Amazinng!

  • I cannot believe all the negative comments about James Blake, He makes all his music myself and is a very talented pianist. He obviously is capable of creating his own material and you guys should be HONORED, he only brought good things for you- more attention and money

  • Absolutely beautiful.

  • This version is a lot easier to swallow than Blake's. Feist is saying "the world sucks, but that's okay, I guess." Blake is more like "The world sucks, and fruits flying fucking everywhere."

  • Comment removed

  • @lukepleaseshutup Haha, I suppose it's all a matter of perspective. James Blake's version still gives me the feeling of everything will be okay. I love both versions. :)

  • @lukepleaseshutup and here's me who thought it was the doors ahahahah...

  • @lukepleaseshutup Amen brother.

  • @lukepleaseshutup the world doesn't suck though....there's so much to do and experience.

  • @lukepleaseshutup Lol to each its own. They both had different ways of interpreting this song as individual artists. Love both versions.

  • @lukepleaseshutup I agree totally

  • Beautiful, enchanting, everything a song should be.....Wow, what a voice...

  • Fuck james blake

  • @memphis88 ouch. it's only honor when an artist covers another artist's work. obviously..

  • @Idriis90 except he makes money on his copy. plus, people mainly know him now because of a tune that is not his. this one.

  • Comment removed

  • I much prefer this to any of the multiple covers.

  • mmmmm..<3

  • James Blake is a massive cunt.

  • @jimmymack1971 How?

  • This is a fine version. James Blake just has a much more sonorous and commanding voice. This version has more hope and less dour resignation. I prefer James's version, but this is quite good.

  • I love both versions, but I do prefer this one. But James Blake experimented with it and done a really good cover, though I still prefer the original. And I also love the rest of Blake's songs too, his voice is so awesome and his music is so unique. But this song is one of my favourites, so good.

  • wow.blake who?

  • This original is MUCH better than James Blake's. Come on, alone her voice.... beautiful!

  • @TheHvaffornoget But Blakes' wobble's just amazing on a good speaker system.

  • <3

  • is the james blake

  • GOOSEBUMPS!

  • even the comments on youtube are broken !̸̶͚͖͖̩̻̩̗͍̮̙̈͊͛̈͒̍̐ͣͩ̋ͨ̓̊̌̈̊́̚͝͠ͅ ̷̧̢̛͖̤̟̺̫̗͚̗͖ͪ̏̔̔̒́ͥ̓ͫ̀ͤ̇ͥ͝ ̡̊͛̇ ͫ̉ͦ̊̀̔ͧͮ͆̽ͦͩ͋̌͗̚̚҉̵͖̟͙̮͈̼̹̞͝ͅ!̸̶͚͖͖̩̻̩̗͍̮̙̈͊͛̈͒̍̐ͣͩ̋ͨ̓̊̌̈̊́̚͝͠ͅ ̷̧̢̛͖̤̟̺̫̗͚̗͖ͪ̏̔̔̒́ͥ̓ͫ̀ͤ̇ͥ͝ ̡̊͛̇ ͫ̉ͦ̊̀̔ͧͮ͆̽ͦͩ͋̌͗̚̚҉̵͖̟͙̮͈̼̹̞͝ͅ!̸̶͚͖͖̩̻̩̗͍̮̙̈͊͛̈͒̍̐ͣͩ̋ͨ̓̊̌̈̊́̚͝͠ͅ ̷̧̢̛͖̤̟̺̫̗͚̗͖ͪ̏̔̔̒́ͥ̓ͫ̀ͤ̇ͥ͝ ̡̊͛̇ ͫ̉ͦ̊̀̔ͧͮ͆̽ͦͩ͋̌͗̚̚҉̵͖̟͙̮͈̼̹̞͝ͅ

  • Great song of course but the video to me does nothing for the music except distract you from it. I don't understand your vision for this at all. The entire time all I'm thinking about is someone with a camera filming derelict objects expecting that just by filming it, you are giving it some meaning. It seems like you're asking the audience to do all the work for you. Theres nothing really creative or interesting about how these objects are presented.

  • @fatfacekid ur dum

  • anyone else get here from @redhooknoodles beat sample to this song? lol. if not check it out it's good ish

  • Although I like Blake's version better, I do enjoy this quite a bit

  • so what's the chance of feist accepting my marriage proposal if I were to ask?

  • Maybe this is original, but James Blake ver kicks ass. This is only very good.

  • @deathacus YOU are an idiot. Adeles been #1 and winning awards for 3 years now... just cuz Americans took so long to catch on doesn't determine her "blow up". 21 has been #1 in 17 countries since JAN-FEB, 6 months BEFORE Amy Winehouse's death i may add.

  • original, i like it

  • I Love i love i love !!!

  • AWWWWW i love love love this song. this album this woman! :) are women not amazingly amazing?! :) <3

  • Essa música veio de longe, por uma janela entrou e tb trouxe junto o frescor do lado de lá do mar.....

  • this song makes me cry

  • this is so stunning

  • nice video

  • Better than Adele. Fuck that pig.

  • @deathacus funny how that "pig" has more money and acceptance than you ever will. I am sure your name calling really affects her career and sleep at night.

  • @deathacus "I love seeing Lady Gaga’s boobs and bum. I love seeing Katy Perry’s boobs and bum. Love it. But that’s not what my music is about. I don’t make music for eyes, I make music for ears." - Adele

Adele's weight doesn't matter. She's a good singer. Stop being an ass.

  • @HARDcoreRAWRZZ but she's not. she sucks. she sounds just like every other female soul singer. Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are different genre's so I don't care about them. The only reason Adele blew up is because Amy Winehouse died and out of ALL the soul singers out there trying to make it, some sub par mediocre woman did.

  • @deathacus She's good, and all. I, personally, am not a fan (I prefer covers of her songs like by Dia Frampton).

  • @deathacus 'sub par mediocre'? are you kidding me. is it really necessary to show your appreciation of someone by slagging off someone else. Doesn't sound like you have much soul yourself.

  • @deathacus Adeles been big for quite some time.. Remember that song about Sidewalks or whatever? Shit. I was never really into her. But she's been BIG for some time now. But of course as a Jazzy sort of artist, BIG for her will NEVER be Bieber big

  • @deathacus wow.

  • Skins<3

  • This whole time i thought james blake was the original.

  • @tfashion19 So did I :)

  • @tfashion19 nope, just chuck testa

  • @tfashion19 ditto. i like em both

  • I liked your video. It feels like u know what's going on in this song:):)

  • I miss the bass.

  • I think I love James Blake simply for opening so many people's eyes to how awesome Feist is.

  • This is amazing' ...I was just enlightened..'Im a new fan' But..

this song doesn't do the WUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUB

like that other guys song.. good tune

  • James blake album is nominated for the mercury prize. the album only has three listenable (but good) tracks. really dont think hes gonna win.but imagine how sick feist will be if he does win though.

  • did not realise feist had this in her, prefer to the blake version

  • wow I didn't even know James Blake covered this song. I like her version better.

  • oh hi 240p

  • wyjebane w huj

  • I just cant help but to think Keri Hilson May have JACKED a little bit of her stuff from this song.....Like the music in Keri Hilson's " All the Boys" sounds pretty similar to the music track in this song. Also from 1:13 to 1:16 sounds like a part in her chorus of the same song......coincidence? I don't think so. Even the title of this song is similar to a part in her chorus in the song "Breaking Point"! Check it out for yourself.

  • I love her voice...and the melody...it's so soothing. I can relate as well...know what it feels like to be loved conditionally. There should be no limits to love...unconditional love is the only right love in my book.

  • Kentucky Fried Kanye West anyone? No thanks Ive just had a Feist.

  • @123loco1991 What? This is one of the stupidest comments I've ever seen

  • @ilikecats74 I think he thinks her name's pronounced "feast" . . . ? maybe? Either way, I'm in agreement with you.

  • @ghmessenger I think its pronounced with a hard I Fe-I-st kind of like the way it is spelt lol

  • @SkankingJesus -- you're right, it's pronounced just like 'heist'... not 'heast' :)

  • @SkankingJesus It is, I know. ^^ I was responding to another's comment, who's joke didn't make any sense, unless he thought her name was pronounced "feast". (Even then, it was a lame joke :P ).

  • @ghmessenger oh okay. Lol maybe a little lame. But its cool :P

  • @ghmessenger lol oh okay I see. Well I'm glad you know because alot of people don't know how it's said. :]

  • Ahhhhh this is horrible.

  • @laptitedame

Feist and James Blake are two opposing forces, i struggle to see how they would work in unison.

  • @jujuman17 Opposites attract? Really I don't think I see them as "opposing," just different.

  • @CoreyNejati i just realized it says homevideo... my bad!

  • i'd never heard feists version until now, but when i first heard james blakes i knew i'd heard it somewhere before. i'd be a lot more impressed if it was his own, but its still a good cover. i cant help but feel his songs are really good, but they fall into nothing. they dont go anywhere

  • @mrpepre fully agree about James Blakes music, he's reaching for something grand but it never quite amounts to anything...guess it's just something else for the hipsters to obsess over then.

  • <3

  • Well I think this is art - all of it; both the track and the video. and both together. The images are clever and well thought out. The track is my favorite version of the music, and I think suits a female range better than a male's. Keep up the good work Monicaelisabeth!

  • wunderbaaarr...

  • i love this song so much,,,its my favorite on the CD,,, the music video is not nice

  • 21 people dont like music...thumbs up if you agree!!

  • @21josh1991 Attention seeking loser.

  • What is the meaning of this song? I read the lyrics and I can't tell if its like a happy or sad song.

  • @JDP1699 I think it's 80% sad and 20% acceptance. No happiness.

    ;-)

  • @monicaelisabeth Thats just really sad.

  • @monicaelisabeth U said it! The happiness is acceptance. :(

  • @monicaelisabeth lol i love your description of the song

  • @JDP1699 Bittersweet

  • @JDP1699 Well, I could tell you Im in a situation where he just wants to be friends even though all the signs are there that he cares & so much more. I have this song for 4 years but I get it now, different meaning for everyone....@monicaelisabeth U said it! The happiness is acceptance.

  • @JDP1699 i know it's whatever you make it to be ...sometimes it's happy and some other days it's sad ... :)

  • @JDP1699 but if you wanna get technical about it - it may reffer to that situation where one person in a couple doesn't really know how to love or how to behave when being loved so the other one has to show his/her love gradually and limited in order to allow growth and conscienciousness. Plus, sometimes we think we need the other one to love us in order for us to love them ... when actually it all starts within us and the love we nurture inside of us can have no limit.

  • james blake version is really good but fiest deserves so much more credit for this song she wrote it!

  • I don't even understand the top rated comment lmao, I'll just be casual and listen to the song like a normal human being instead of making a stupid remark about the song. I like this song alot, it is very good.

  • @DrawingApples Lol, i meant IT could be nice, ha, you probably got the mistake!

  • a master piece of music,i'm a musician and would die happy if reached this level of correspondence emotions with musical skills.

  • PhaldoxThaGr8's comment makes me want to stap a puppy.

  • not gonna' lie, this version is better.

  • 21 people have a limit on their love.

  • @Dante10606 hilarious

  • In honour of my true love Jim, who's anchored in my heart, but who chooses not to choose...

like a map with no ocean...

    but there are limits schattie*

  • What album is this and does anyone recommend it?

  • @ChiVic64

The Reminder, by Feist. It's good. This is my personal favorite track from it.

  • Comment removed

  • i locwe

  • James' version is good, however, he just completely ignores the point of this song. He just sings: there's a limit to your love. Feist sings: there's a limit to your love / I love this dream of going upstream... and than: because there is NO LIMIT TO MY LOVE. Despite she's not sure if it's right to love him, (I love all the trouble that you give me / I can't read your smile...) she still does, which basically is the most amazing thing about love.

  • Both versions are beautiful!

  • i was so entranced by this song i didnt even notice this weird video lool

  • Feist is still a great musician and artist, I may not like some things about her, but I can't deny that she's good. As for the song, gotta stick with ma boy James Blake, he's a don.

  • eew it makes me mad that james blake didnt write that himself :(((( o well i still like his version better...gets stuck in my head

  • I thought this was originally by James Blake - tune s out it;s not and this versions better!

  • @backintoyouropenarms It wouldn't be dubstep without the Dub...

  • feist is far beyond anyone for me,her voice give me chills and freeze my blood...

    love love love her!

    I cannot describe anymore...

  • who is the ORIGINAL by?

  • @datfunk101 feist

  • @datfunk101 This is the original version, James Blakes' version is a cover.

  • I could be nice if Feist and James Blake sang together!

  • Like this version but not james cover. I like that he slowed it down a bit but the constant changes just kills it.
