  • como me gustaria ver esto con audio y video remasterizado por favooor!

  • Amazing sound and vocals

  • @danielspital um correct me if im wrong but i do believe you put his name in your own post

  • @forkmaster93 You're not wrong but I only did it to stop future mentions of him. It's a sacrifice I was willing to make

  • Thumbs up if you're going to see Roger Waters preform this on his australian tour!

  • 13 people missed the like butten.

  • They need to release this on Blu Ray. It would be amazing to see.

  • Back when floyd was in it's greatest incarnation

  • fuck that 13 who on dislike has pressed

  • barret majster classe

  • Seeing them live was one of the finest moments of my life. The music industry has single-handedly killed itself.

Great the music is back and if some Bieber loving motherfucker has anything to say - say it.

  • i would travel back in time just to be there

  • @joacka take me with you man :L

  • 0:04 feel like a ninja

  • 13 crack in the thin ice ...

  • Now this is what I call cool.

  • fuck off with your comments about bieber. I don't wanna see his name on a floyd video

  • @danielspital YEAH

  • @danielspital * Face-palm*

Well, the first thing YOU should do is NOT MENTIONING HIM TOO!

And you say his fans are stupid.

  • @DeathTimer Firstly, I never mentioned stupidity; that was the other top comment and secondly, how am I supposed to prevent future mentions of someone without saying their name?

  • @danielspital

Just ignore those comments, that's what I do.

It just feels terrible that the lovers of rock music aren't being united by love, but by hate.

  • @DeathTimer i completely agree with you

  • @danielspital couldn't agree more!

  • Incrível.. nasci em 94, mas sou fã louco de Pink Floyd, a melhor banda que já ouvi! David Gilmour é gênio!

  • @SoaresPhelipe genio é r.waters que escreveu tudo isso rs

  • How do I get a copy of this concert? I've got a really bad quality version but the one here looks better...I NEED IT! Why on earth aren't they releasing this? Seems EMI are continuosly looking for ways to milk more money from Floyd and other acts yet this ground-breaking concert remains in the archives? Sure the quality might not be up to standard but I'd buy it!

  • Roger Waters is a fucking genius

  • I have this DVD too! I wish it was better quality though... It's still a great glimpse at one of the greatest shows of all time

  • BASS BASS BASS BASS

  • 12 people:

    a) are stupid

    b) have mental disorders

    c) love justin bieber

  • @lecoqcoco they're 13 now...

  • @lecoqcoco They was surprised by a crack in the ice

    Appears under their feet.

  • @lecoqcoco d)missed the like button

  • @lecoqcoco e) have a different point of view

  • @lecoqcoco (anyway, I loved it)

  • @lecoqcoco Cyd barret had a mental disorder Smart one

  • @lecoqcoco I'd underline that the first two are STRONGLY LINKED WITH THE THIRD

  • @lecoqcoco Fuck you

  • @LunarParkChannel why? suck my balls mother fucker

  • Bass is super loud in this mix

  • gilmour is a very good guitarist but I think he is not on the level of Hendrix. I don't think gilmour himself would think that, either.

  • @DarkSunGod i think your not on the same level as everybody else you crack head hes a way better guitarist than hemdrix

  • damn. Roger was so cute(:

    I LOVE PINK FLOYD!!!

  • Thin ice indeed, beware, try your skates but don´t appear to close to the sun... I´m serious, this is real lyrics about the world shattering around one, It may sound like fun thing to try but it´s so hard clawing as the sanity of your mind breaks and blackness grasps for your soul. Please go ahead, take it if you must, but take it easy... if you get me...avoid winding up on the dark side. Don´t mean only psychedelics now. Shine.

  • I waqnt Roger's shirt, it's awesome, and he is #1

  • David gilmour is different cause he's got felling when he plays

  • The combination of Roger Waters and David Gilmour with their ensemble is a treat the world had never known. Two geniuses collecting the best of the best. One and one made a ton--light years ahead of its time. The quality is breathtaking and a wonder to hear and feel. Over and over again--they MOVE me. Thank you so much for posting this for us.

  • Happy Birthday Sam Botta imdb, congratulations on "Live Fearless with Sam Botta" Produced by Movie Tech Studios Hollywood

  • Gilmour is a great musician and a very good singer but the fact of the matter is that at least 80% of Dark Side, Wish You Were Here and The Wall came from Roger Waters brain. Heck. He recorded virtually all of both Dark Side and The Wall at his home on a little recorder before presenting it to the rest of the band. Go to Wikipedia and type in Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon and Pink Floyd The Wall. It is all right there how Roger basically had the fundamental idea and content of both.

  • For me Roger and David together is amazing, separately not so much, I never cared much for the Floyd albums with just David (like The Division Bell) and Rogers solo stuff wasn't all that great either but any Pink Floyd album that has both of them is phenomenal.

  • David Gilmour has two brains: one in the head and another in his hand!

  • David Gilmour tem dois cerebros: um na cabeça e outro na mão!!!!

  • Pink Floyd...the most powerful musicians...majority of the metal bands worship Pink Floyd. This shows their excellence.

  • Pink Floyd: the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be

  • Easily,..in the top ten of Pink Floyd songs.

  • on the thin ice of mod'n life...

  • muito legal

  • dont be surprised when a crack in the ice appears under ur feet....

  • Pink Floyd the best for ever ,pure magical sound and songs that helped us know more ...THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER PINK ,,THANKSSSSS for them coming in my lifetime

  • I actually prefer the studio version to live or "Anybody out there?" Version.DG doesn't play the guitar run which are such a big part of The Walls sound. Could nvr understand why he left them out on the live album.

  • jhust watched this it mad me smile

  • What brand headphones is he wearing? I've always wondered.

  • those ones are better in concert than in CD

long live to the true music

  • omfg i cant believe i didnt know about this concert a masterpiece!

  • My life would not be the same without the WALL, Timeless classics that got me through my HIGH school years and beyond.

    FLOYD FOREVER

  • @t69gto I was not at the 1980 show, but wish I had. Did attend the Roger Waters 30th Anniversary show Oct. 22, 2010 in Columbus, Ohio. You will be very satisfied with this showing for sure. Enjoy. By the time you read this you will already have the warmth of confusion that space cadet glow. In other words this show will leave a smile on your face. :-)

  • I was at the 1980 Wall Concert in N.Y. Nassau Co. Arena. Rodger Waters wfote the majority of the Wall, David Gilmour Had a big influence on the success of the Wall. And in closing I'LL be attending my Second Wall Concert 30 years later on

Nov 8, 2010. Tomorrow to be Exact! It should be a Great show 1st night out of 3 Sold out! Performances. Floyd Rocks!!.

  • I was at this concert 1980 in Dortmund. Maybe the greatest concert in music-history. Roger Waters is the greatest!!

  • the tape hiss is crazy. this is a treasure. thanks.

  • i wish i was there, but i born 14 years later

  • @Brandon18valensi I was born when they released 'Animals'. To sound selfish-I love that fact...

  • For those questioning why the audio and the video don't match is because they are from different concerts. Those priveliged to have this concert on video know that the audio is not the greatest so people who post here use the audio from the released CD version. Trust me, it is very much live.

  • Rick Wright is one of the first shots...And he was out of the official band at this point!

  • Release this (four-city) tour video already, please.

We know you have some re-masters.

I'm happy to admit that I only love the Waters Floyd.

  • @ChristyFisty ME TOO. Absolutely!

  • Live my ass.

  • @weishauptogram Huh?

  • I suspect Roger is lip-synching -- his voice has never sounded this good live. Ever.

  • @jbarbri The audio and the video don't match EVEN REMOTELY...

  • espectacular!!

  • omg they are so young!!!

  • Pink Floyd The Wall Live at Earl's Court 1980 DVD with clearer sound available at Tommygun Video website

  • 12 May 2011,see you then, Roger : )

  • @TheAlienFan in holland? me too

  • @SkirrePepfles No,it's london,which is a bit of a hassle as I live in Scotland but it'll be well worth it.Seen him twice and it's going to be a long 10 months : )

  • I wish the video quality was better :/

  • Gilmour is a fatass.

  • another camparison between the Beatles and pink floyd is that they both lived around the same region and they both recorded in Abby Road studio. But to say that they shared a simular sound in both early albums is hog wash. Because Arnald Lane and other songs like it were more like real early stage of punk rock, and "Let Me Hold Your Hand" was just purely wishy washy bull crap. and besides Pink Floyd was considered psycedelic rock early on. The beatle, wishy washy nonsence.

  • Why did Gilmour had to cut his pretty hair ?Oh well. This was 1980,I suspose.

  • This is so awesome dude! I so want to go to one of the upcoming Roger Waters The Wall show. Pink Floyd The Wall: Awesomeness!

  • My 3rd ever gig as a 16 year old..I remember some old hippies selling Fat Freddy Cat comics in the auditorium and people skinning up during the performance.

Now we got security pouncing on you if you dare to put one foot in the aisle to dance. The hammers are coming for us Pink !.

  • rodgers gonna do it again live-this year! gonna be one tough ticket.

  • @tunnleking

That's why I'm securing mine the day it comes out!

    San Jose 12/6/10!

  • 0:03 that guy was like (unplug)

  • The last real progressive rock event

  • @nicolasdelariva

I know what you mean. Might just be the quality of the recording.

  • Rhino16161 I hope that was a joke about Spears and Menudo. It would take alot talent for another band to come close to Floyd.

  • Simply brilliant. No other act in existence can touch Pink Floyd in talent, artistry, composing, or presentation.

    Except Britney Spears...and Menudo.

  • many people think good rock is about speed intensity and fast solo's. pink floyd took each one of those beliefs and smashed them down like their wall, and made themselves the mozart's of rock

  • Completely agree my friend;D

  • very well said, david gilmour is the greatest guitarist of all time and he doesnt do it by shredding he does it by playing epic solos

  • ya, i mean i don't hate bands like zeppelin or hendrix experience but i jsut think floyd had the best music, like classical compared to jazz, jazz is based off of soloing and classical is all music

  • @guitarhero691 "greatest guitarist of all time" is a strech but definately one of the most original of all time. He's in the same class with Clapton, Townshend, Page and Beck. Hendrix of course is in his own class!

  • @guitarhero691

playing the exact right notes at the exact right times

  • @guitarhero691 Yes, i firmly agree to both comments,, bravo..

  • @guitarhero691 he can do a one note solo and make it more powerful then anything.....

  • @thedoorsforever256~ Totally agreed

  • @thedoorsforever256 rock is simple music; their music instead is more complicate...it's like comparing classical music and pop music..

in any case i like rock music too ;)

  • @thedeadliest lol most of the cool people in this world do

  • @thedoorsforever256 This is the most inspiring thing I have ever read on youtube. Thank you.

  • @LeutennantDan haha thanks man

  • @thedoorsforever256 Nicely put.

  • @FatmanCaufield thanks man

  • It looks like Roger is bringing the Wall production to us in 2010-2011. Awesome!

  • Jerryskid1 What are you taking about dude? is that for real and when where and where can i find any info on that one. I was18 when this album came out and went to the movie three nights in a row with my buddy. Smoked so much dope then just sat and it was amazing time.

  • You can sometimes buy a copy of this on ebay. But, yeah, it`s pretty rare and will probably never ever get officially released because Roger Waters has some problem with it.

  • Somebody Knows Where can i find this Full concert?

Some web page, any link ...

  • u can write better bass riffs????? i wud love to listen them if u can write better than roger

  • yeah, dude. NOT taking anything away from his amazing songwriting at all. But you're a chump if you think he's a bass god. I'm sorry, you must not be very good if that's what you think. And I'm no guru, but if you really want, I will give you the link to my bands website. I'm not trying to start a conflict, god knows there's enough of them on here. But, i can SAFELY say I'm a better bassist. That's all. Nothing less, nothing more.

  • shalloend is right, well maybe not about him being better because i have no idea. i personally consider myself the biggest floyd fan out there, and even roger has admitted on multiple occasions that he is no specialty bassist. where his genius role is played is lyrics and music production. not bass.

  • @shalloend Waters is no Victor Wooton, but he's no slouch either. You don't have to be a virtuoso to be a bass player. I think bass players that just hold with the drums are great IMO.... Besides, that's not his PRIMARY role in the band; he is one of the greatest song writers of all time.

  • Awesome Solo!!!!

  • There is music and there is pink floyd music. What makes billions of people love pink floyd all over the world is that they are different from every other band. In fact they are different from each other. Roger's style is different from David's. My favourite is Roger Waters because he is the most different from every body else. He IS a genious.

  • this should come out on dvd please oh please it rules

  • roger waters genius

  • None of thier music is "complicated." It's all pretty simple but perfect, that's part of what makes them so great.

  • @lhbox83 well i wouldnt say that.

some of their music is pretty complex, say shine on your crazy diamond

  • to be fair, as a bassist waters isn't that fantastic. i learned almost all his shit within a year of playing bass, he's a fantastic songwriter. but his bass, while incredibly fun and great to play, isn't particularly complicated.

  • @FrenchRevolution1789 if u knew anything about music u'd shuddup.

the techincal skill doesnt say anything about the bassist's true skill. notice most great songs are simple and brilliant.

  • playing bass for almost 9 years now. i must know nothing about it you're right.

  • just because youve been playing for 9 years doesnt make you the definitive bass expert. so what? who cares? you think he isnt a fantastic bassist. i and many others do. so what makes me or you right? your opinion? i think not. because its an opinion. lets see you write a bass line as good as roger.

  • The Wall album is heavy dark shit man!!!

    Wow ! a disappearing drumkit !

  • As lots of people say..."Pink Floyd started where The Beatles left off"...But yes, both bands were great.

  • I wish theyd release this on DVD.

  • I read recently in an article talking about the rumours of Waters doing a The Wall tour in 2010-11, that there may be some "new" footage found from the earl court concert. Hopefully it's true and are good to have a release in DVD.

There will be also a new film from Roger Waters' recent DSOTM tour.

  • Fantastic!! I always thought Gilmour and Waters werer like Lennon and Mcartney, with Waters being Lennon. I'd pay big bucks to see Waters do a Wall show.

  • anyone who compares floyd and the beatles is an absolute fuckwit of a mother fucker! they two different types of rock floyd are a bit bluesey were as the beatles were skiffle r'n'b and rock all in one!

  • look at 0:05 he just unplugs the cord from the guitar..lol

  • that was one of the stagehands preping gilmour's next guitar. he plays different guitars over the course of a concert, each setup for different tones and such.

  • But that man unplugs Snowy's guitar. When "In the Flesh?" was played, the Surrogate Band was on the stage, not PF.

  • He's that good.

  • great shot of rick at 0:20

  • i love the beatles. i love pink floyd. the beatles influenced pink floyd so if your insulting the beatles' music and you like pink floyd's your a dumbass. their music can be similar at times. the way the bass is played is very similar. listen to "blue jay way" by the beatles. that song sounds sooo much like a pink floyd song

  • Damn, Roger's bass is really high in the mix.

  • This tune should be in a music box, and played to a sleepy kid at bedtime. Beautiful!!!

  • Is there a good DVD copy of this concert available for purchase anywhere?

  • amazon

  • The only performance of the Wall available to buy is the Roger Waters Live in Berlin 1990 DVD. No official release of the original 1980 - 81 shows have been on DVD

  • oh, and you create a band that becomes world famous, and will be remembered until the end of humanity, then tell me the beatles sucked, they didn't get that famous just by, as you say "riding the wave"

  • whoever says the beatles were crappy musicians, yea, listen to a paul mcartney bass line, just listen, a lot of people say he's one of the best bassist in the world, oh and guess what, they didn't need to be absolutely spectacular, cause their music was so amazing, oh and fuck, listen to paul sing, he has an amazing voice, all of them do, even ringo's isn't that bad lol

and their lyrics were great too

so shut up, both were great, you can't compare them,

  • Agreed. :) Paul's not the best bassist but still the Beatles are awesome and he has an awesome voice. IMO the best bassists are John Entwistle, Steve Harris, Geddy Lee and Roger Waters...in that order. You really can't compare the Beatles and Pink Floyd; both are awesome in their own ways.

  • I think David is the better bassist in Pink Floyd...

  • Well, you know David played most of the bass parts on records

  • Your use of the word 'most' is misleading to say the least. For 'Hey You' and some other tracks on Animals, David did play bass. But Roger wrote them.

  • Well said...and way to include Geddy Lee on your list. Its all a bit subjective...but i have to second your list. Well played.

  • Hey, you gotta add Jack Bruce in there.

  • How can you people even compare the Beatles with Pink Floyd??? you guys are nuts! Totally different worlds, the only thing in common between this two is music, other than that, totally different styles, both bands were great in their own world. Stop hating.

  • @Shineonbitch absoloutley.good music is good music...period.

  • @Shineonbitch if you go listen to their "Older" stuff, they did share quite a bit style-wise, with the beetles, and i agree, people need to stop hating, listen and enjoy or gtfo x3

  • @Shineonbitch Exactly
