  • I'm called Blake for London

That was a WR run if you consider his reaction time was the slowest i've ever witnessed in professional sprinting

  • Usain, why are you giving away your secret to running the 200m? Yohan is definately gong to beat you this year. Can't wait. I have to attend the Jamaican olympic trials in July. No way this event can miss me.

  • That my bro

  • Blake just ran 400m in 46.49

  • slight mess up on the comentary as Walter Dix time is the 5th fastest in history, 19.19, 19.26, 19.30, 19.32, 19.53, 4th fastest person but 5th fastest time, but they can be forgiven as this was a phenomenal run, come London this distance will be as big as the 100m :))

  • @NeilTheFerret1 Actually for Dix it's 6th fastest time, counting Bolt's 19s42 in Daegu. Well at least I think.

  • @ChezYanF1 my mistake I forgot about Daegu, 19.40.

  • Saying all that shit, Mr.Bolt look ominous for those who dare to set foot in those two events. He reminded me sooo much of his 2008-2009 form & we all new what had happened back then in Beijing & Berlin. We haven't heard much about the Americans, but we all aware of what they can do with likes of Tyson Gay et al. Let's not forget that the Olympics is the Archetype & numero uno for all athletes, and surprises are not uncommon in this Quadrennial Showpiece. There's nothing in sport equates it.

  • I'm still to be convinced that Yohan Blake can reproduced this crazy time in the 200m in London, remember it's not a one off race. The 100m in London will comprised of going the rounds were most of your energy would've sapped B4 the finals, but then again these guys are well prepared, so maybe just maybe the fire works will be spectacular. I think if you fears Bolt forget the gold , if not maybeagain just maybe his (Blake) dream could be His REALITY.

  • People,People read this & read this well, I have seen the top 5 Jamaicans Male sprinters in training over the summer & into the winter, bearing in mind that I haven't seen the rest of the worlds elites, and if what I've seen can be re-produce on the track in London this summer, OMG! expect the world records in both the 100m & 200m to be obliberated to video games status. Something is happening that is producing this effect and I'm affraid it is Yohan Blake. The rest are working their asses off !

  • i predict bolt breaking his 2 world records this year,he will be super fast, trust me he is different from the other runners, and i like hush hush2 comments on this video

  • Listen we all must realize this is a one off race, wen usain break the world record he ran maney races b4,just image what usain would run in a one off race? usain never really test his speed in one off races and i think he should do it sumday

  • i would like 2 see bolt v johnson in 200m

  • DAYUM! 3:47

  • run 19,26 on 200M when you run only 9,82 on 100M it's strange, NO ?

    bolt run 19,19 on 200M but run 9,58 on 100M !

  • Comment removed

  • the man to beat Usain.

  • one of the worst starts ever in sprinting, and he does this?!!

    Blakes an animal

  • Blakes an animal. He would have broke Johnson's record if it wasn't for Bolt.

  • This race is a 19.4+ race which in any case is still great because Tyson never run that fast. Dix time is about 19.8+. Sorry Dix, Gay is still # 2 on the US 200m list. He's a beast but this is not a 19.2.

  • Yohan Blake and Usain Bolt are training partners....so why wouldn't he be able to run this fast. Usain Bolt even described Blake as a "beast" when it comes to sprinting.

  • lol i feel new world record 4x100meter jamaica london 2012? .... -.-

  • I'm glad Yohan is running this fast. He is the only person who can keep Usain motivated so as not to get lazy. Usain likes to "party" too much.. Usain just needs to remain injury free, pay serious attention to his diet, improve his basic overall suppleness by 20-30%, and the world records in the 100 and 200m will fall again..

  • I'd like to see Blake run under 19.5 again and then I believe in him that he can beat Bolt. For now, it seems to me, that he is close, but just he isn't ready for beating Bolt.

    Jamaicans rule!

  • Has Blake ever run in a 400m race?

  • @MITOGEN He runs the 400m early season as part of his background training. Also he was always anchoring his high school 4 X 400m team at high school championships in Jamaica and at Penn Relays...if you search for "Jamaica - Boys Champs 2007 - 4x400m Final" on here you can see him anchoring one of these races in 2007. He seems to be a pretty useful 400m runner. That 400m strength shows in the last 20m of his 100m and 200m races.

  • @beagleization Thanks for that info :)

  • I would like to see Bolt and Blake take on Kirani James in the 400m. :)

  • @MITOGEN I

  • @MITOGEN Christophe Lematrie looks like he can produce a fast 400m time as well..200m final in daegu..he was accelerating in that race while most everyone else was slowing down

  • @nagasakiPiru Yes, it would be interesting to see what time he could get for the 400m too. :)

  • @nagasakiPiru that is not true, is was simply decelerating less than the other runners

  • @nagasakiPiru no...its an illusion. he's just slowing down less than the others.

  • Comment removed

  • @MITOGEN yea just early season

  • @MITOGEN he used to run the 400M but in high school as well as Bolt

  • @Max0077 Cheers

  • I like this blake guy, I think he'll beat bolt in 2012. Also, most of us Americans have the upmost respect for the jamaican sprinters, don't let a few boneheads cause you to stereotype us all.

  • IM SURE BLAKE WILL BREAK 19:19 if he gets agood start and runs the bend well.

  • @ShinTec9 he did in this race the one problem is that the news pretty much said that his reaction time was like 0.269 if it had been better than that they said that the world record would have been long gone before then to like 19.1-19.16 so basically yohan blake is faster than bolt in 200m for now only cuz bolt never really gets any competition

  • BLAKE IS SO HUMBLE

  • very interesting @Snabelfaen, however i cannot see bolt losing the 200.

  • he took the flowers girls with him when he grabbed the flowers :o

  • It's got to be the Yams

  • @RunninAD me know weh yuh mean

  • @snabelfaen remember 19.19 was done after 7 races in 4 days at the WC. Rounds for 100m then more rounds for 200m in Berlin. Calm down. Bolt running one race will destroy that time. Blake is the future though, we went to the same high school, that my dude.

  • @baracusain12 BUT U HAVE T ADMIT BOLT WAS LOOKING KINDASCARED MAYBE THINKG THIS GUY CAN PUT ME UNER PRESSURE OR MAYBE EAVEN BEAT ME I THINK GIVE BLAKE 2 YRS HE WILL BE BEAST.

  • Next year Olympics

    100 Meter 1. Usain bolt 9.57 2.Yohan Blake 9.61 3. Tyson Gay 9.67

    200 meter 1. Yohan blake 18.97 2. Usain bolt 19.12 3. Walter dix 19.42

    Super fast times :)

  • @Snabelfaen It will be interesting to see if your predictions come true :)

  • @MITOGEN indeed

  • @Snabelfaen Bolt is afraid of Blake. I think he was afraid too in the last 100 meter's final so he simulates a false start.

  • @Snabelfaen I AGREE I THINK BLAKE CAN RUN UNDER 19 SECONDS MAYBE IF HE DOESNT DO IT NEXT YEAR IN 2 OR 3 YRS TIME DEFINATELY

  • @Snabelfaen I think it will be more like:

    100m- 1. Usain Bolt 9.46 2. Yohan Blake 9.61 3. Tyson Gay 9.61 4. Asafa Powell 9.74

    200m - 1. Yohan Blake 19.00 Usain Bolt 19.11 Walter Dix 19.42

    4x100m - 1. Jamaica 36.82 2. USA 37.10

  • @100msprinter26 yes thats more reasonable

  • @Snabelfaen I don't see Blake getting that fast (though the unexpected has happened before). I also can't see Blake crusing past Bolt without Bolt switching into max. gear, something I've only seen once. Finishing 19.19 with a comfortable lead is quite different from finishing with a challenger at your heel. Sounds cliche, but Bolt has a lot more speed in him (whether he will stay fit enough to use it at the right time is a different question).

  • @hisnameisfrankie I think that the 19 seconds barrier is broken, if not next year at least in the next 5 years, and i would not be supprised if there will come up a cupple of other sprinters more that runs at times like 19,2 sec on a 200 meters sprint :)

  • @Snabelfaen Marlon Devonish 20.25

  • @Snabelfaen dream on

  • @Snabelfaen Jamacia will sweep the 100 meters, and Lamaitre will be in the medals in the 200 meters.

  • @Snabelfaen Let's hope so!!

  • @Snabelfaen no way

  • @Snabelfaen you're underestimating bolt

  • @Snabelfaen 18.97, not happening.

  • @Snabelfaen 200m never happen

  • @Snabelfaen

    Never!

Bolt is faster and still faster!

  • @Snabelfaen I do not agree with your view of Bolt taking the 100m and Blake the 200m. I believe Blake, if fit will take both the 100 and 200 in London 2012. This is because I believe it is easier as a sprinter to chase than be a front runner. Bolt is trying to maintain his status as a front runner. Blake on the other side is hungry. As a British born Jamaican I really do not care who wins, so long as it is, particularly for 100m, Jamaica 1, 2 & 3 - clean sweep. Nothing less will do.

  • is it the same track that flo jo got her 10.49 and jetter got her 10.64. stop the hating the man is just that good.

  • Comment removed

  • .2 and .5 second pr's, both in one race? I mean it could be legit...but let's be honest that isn't likely. Even if we were talking a 400m that would be considered a decent chunk of time. Especially considering both of these guys weren't running near these times this season...

  • haha at :57 the commentator is about to usain–but then he says yohan :D

  • Hmmmn Dix looks quite disappointed.

  • absolutely astonishing performance! I'm very much looking forward to the next year's competition between Bolt and Blake in London!

  • well hear this, if he is cheating when ever they catch and they will if he is, he will go to prison, banned for life, written of the records like he never existed. BTW why did he just get 3 months bann? you keep forgetting the reason why it ended up in his system, you all quick to jump to conclusion that he was cheating. Can't really blame you when so many athletes before stain the sport. They well test his blood over and over and over for that particular meet so we will know

  • Bolt stops celebrating when he saw the time of Blake

    Another view of Blakes run

    /watch?v=VkVNo9yd6gw

  • ...Hum...19.26...disappointing bad start... unbelivable storming last 50 meters...shoulders of a removal man...biceps mountain; i really am sorry, i want to believe but i can't get over the fact that it seems real strange to me. This sudden huge progress...

  • It could just be me, but this did not seem right at all. These times are too fast. Dix 19.53, after just running 19.70. Yohan Blake dips about 5 tenths of a second to 19.26 with a horrible start. Something just doesn't seem right with these times to me. Remember Bolt was way ahead of everyone out the curve when he ran 19.19, also was Michael Johnson way out in front of the pack at the curve with 19.32. This race just doesn't seem like it was a 19.26. I'm not buying it.

  • @HushHush2 I thought the same thing when I first saw it, a shorter curve or faulty timer or something, but they have to both be accurate and measured/tested correctly beforehand, then you have Blake saying he beats Bolt in training sometimes or is very close. I think Bolt should run the 200m on this track next year and see what time he gets.

  • @MITOGEN 18.8 would be my guess :D

  • @HushHush2

i so agree man. ive said this before. some of the times for races seem like theyre a little off.

  • @HushHush2 some track are faster than others...

  • @HushHush2 I know you're much smarter than you are projecting right now...Are you serious? It is better for you to say you're baised or clueless, because your comparisons are inexperience. When Bolt ran 19.19 he had no one pushing him he did it all on his own as evident with the margin of victory, same when he ran 19.30. The difference in Yohan is plain and simply WALTER DIX + 19.53 led off the curve and pushed Yohan who has the best top end speed in the game right now. DIX +TOP END= 19.26

  • Comment removed

  • @HushHush2 So don't looked at th fact that DIX didn't have a wide lead coming off the curve as reason why you think Yohan didn't ran 19.26. Actually Yohan's top end speed in the final 100m was the biggest factor in the time. Yohan time of 8.98 in the final straight gave him the fastest 2nd 100m ever, which is testimony to his TOP END SPEED of 44.92km which surpasses both USAIN 44.72km and TYSON 44.46km. Regardless of you and others having doubt about Yohan's time, the fact is HE'S A BEAST!

  • @kingofsprints Yes, because Yohan has faster top end speed than the world record 200 meter runner.

    Oh wait.

  • @HushHush2

When I was timing it with my stop watch he never dipped below 19 and never went above 19.4.

    So what did you mean?

  • @HushHush2 lol this was in Zurich dude. If there's two things the swiss are useful at, it's keeping money and keeping time.

  • @HushHush2 Oh wait...it was Brussels. Never mind :P

  • U! ... yohan blake powering down the straight, haha too used too those usain bolt wins!

  • Hope he is not juiced, but Yohan Blake is the most underated sprinted to date...we need to start respect him and tell that to Asafa powell

  • Poor Dix must've thought he had that one. Blake's homestretch was as impressive as anything I've seen Bolt do.

  • This is bizarre. Incredibly bizarre! How the heck did Blake run that fast? I wonder how fast Bolt would have run on this track?

  • Can't imagine he would ruin his career by juicing. Marion what's her face.... what a disgrace!

  • when Dix went from a 20.25 200m runner in 2006 to a 19.69 runner in 2007, the hypocritical American were saying he was the greatest sprinter ever. They never once questioned wheather or not he was juicing. Now we have another young man who have done something special and immediately they begin to cry foul.Jamaican male sprinters own every global sprint title the world has to offer--EVERYONE!! get use to the domination

  • @bgee4 Let's stop playing dumb. they all are on performance enhancing drugs. ever read charlie francis's speedtrap? i just wanna know what the hell blake's got his hands on here. of course i can't take away from his natural talent and jamaicas dominance. Course if you take away football and basketball as americas dominant sports then youd start to see the tide change pretty quickly.

  • @kwal949 before you make any accusations you should go to the track alerts.com then read this article' The rise of athletics in Jamaica'

  • @bgee4 well said....

  • jamaica has a huge cloud hanging over it without independent out of competition drug testing. until its sorted ur a pack of juiced up mofos

  • @antoireland09 so was all the US sprinters who deny Merlene Ottey of many gold medal so now we catch up on yall juiced or not accept it

  • @antoireland09 so was all the US sprinters who deny Merlene Ottey of many gold medal so now we catch up on yall juiced or not accept it. or yu know wha wi sey inna jamrock go chuck tru yu muma

  • the thing is they train together so its easy for blake to improve..next year will be a show down its clear that jamaica will get the gold and silver medal but who will get what..lol

  • hold on could someone please tell me why Dix has such a frown on his face at 4:46? Is he mad that he got beat or is he mad at the time on the clock. Shouldnt he be happy Blake dragged his fat behind to a 19.53? Haters I tell ya I used to like Dix but I'm ashamed of him for this. Then he leaves the stadium immediately...smh

  • haha jamaica always on top the most talented country of track 1:38

  • London 2012

Might see the 200m world world record broken twice in the same race.

  • bet if dix did run 19:26 yall would not say it's sad for track and field though...give respect to real-life superhumans..its not drugs...its the blood of the islanders

  • I can't buy these times. This is crazy, Michael Johnson needed 10 years to run 19,32 and now any Jamaican toddler runs below 20 seconds.

  • @marquetix thnuis LOL funny these people work very very hard

  • @marquetix the times aren't for sale

  • @marquetix, the best is yet to come. stay tune

  • what a joke. The guy lower is PB by 0.52, and improve his SB by a full 1.00, and everybody sheers. Personnaly I think it's sad for track and field.

  • @lol1808 Bet if it was your boy Lemaitre who ran that you would be on cloud nine. Go suk u madah fuckin batty bwouy.

  • I'm pissed off that Blake had such a slow reaction time

That WR was gone if he just had a normal start

  • Bolt is very threathned!! big warning Bolt !

  • I'm sorry. I just don't buy the 200m times. 19.53 for Dix in 2nd? And the second fastest time ever by Blake with an obviously slow first 100m? Doesn't make sense to me. Not one bit.

  • @byrobyro Same here lol Freaking dix ran .17 seconds faster than he did at the worlds and Blake cut like 0.5 off of his PB

  • @byrobyro He ran the first 100 slowly on purpose, and just kicked awaty over the second half... johnson used the same technique to get his wr. But i doo agree these times are a little suspicious

  • TRACK AND FIELD JUST GONE TO A NEW LEVEL , BOLT & BLAKE , SOME SERIOUS CLASK NOW

  • Jah kno da yute yah a guh hard....mi like d competition...JA straight....maaddd!!!

  • Great performances. Bolt will have to train hard and intense to win gold in the Olympics in 2012. I predict new world records in both the 100M & 200M very exciting indeed!! Big up Jamaica you much to be proud about.

  • yes blake ran the second fastest time in 200m history and we may think that bolt as it coming for 2012 but think again..... usain bolt hasnt peaked yet and i believe he can run 18sec and 9.3

  • @miguel28db

He technically hasn't peaked yet, but he sure as hell hasn't gotten better. His times are totally vulnerable. Bolt may have peaked already, he's no longer on his own planet. If he busted out a 9.6 100 and ran a 200 like Blake, he would still have that heir of invincibility. Makes for good competition.

  • @miguel28db never 9.3 9.4 may be and 9.4 is just may be

  • i'm calling Blake for London

  • ok, so this is the new tyson gay, Mr.Top-End Speed, with a far better start

  • next year yohan blake is going to shock us as he beat bolt

  • Blake would likely have beaten Bolt if he ran the 100 would've been a good race anyway, I guess one could say them same if Bolt ran the 200. So sick of how the top guys dodge each other, except Asafa but he's becoming irrelevant.

  • @Reformed2005 100m and 200m are separate races. no doubt, blake did well in the 200m but that does not mean he will beat bolt in the 100m because he is only averaging a sub 9.8 for the 100m

  • SO REALLY WE GOTTA SAY THAT 19.16 IS THE REAL RECORD TBH SORRY USAIN HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA SURELY IF YOHAN RAN THE 100 TODAY HE WOULD HAVE GONE SUB 9.65

  • @sciencestudent342 What makes you think blake would have ran sub 9.65?

  • Dude, 100m and 200m are completely two different races. you can't take blake's accomplishment for the 200m to say that he will run a sub 9.6 for the 100m.

  • @babymiruku YEH BUT HOW CAN U IMPROVE THAT MUCH IN 200M WITH NO IMPROVEMENT IN 100M. NO HE CANT DO SUB 9.6 BUT EVEN SUB 9.65 IS A BIT MUCH BUT SUB 9.7 COULD HAVE BEEN A POSSIBILITY, I MEAN HES RUN 5 YARDS FASTER IN 200M THAT NIGHT WHO KNOWS HE COULD HAVE BEEN OVER A YARD QUICKER 100, ATHLETES HAVE CRAZY MEETING SOMETIMES, THINGS OUT OF NOWEHRE,IVE EXPERIENCED IT MYSELF, HAVE U NOT? ANYWAY THE TRACK IS WIDER SO THE 200M WR IS STILL BOLTS TILLHE DOES IT ON A MORE CHALLENGING TRACK

  • and walter dix slowed down at the end, shame

  • Мля, русским спринтерам до них обоих как до другой Галактики.

  • Comment removed

  • this is a great video. thanx

  • where is tyson

  • yohan is juicing lol, not only look how big he is lol

  • @jaqua524 Dix too

  • @bajinj0 you think dix is too? they both ran much faster than their best, maybe this is just a real fast track, or a bit shorter

  • @jaqua524 Nah tracks are measured, can't be shorter, the track record was 19 57 by Usain bolt.

    I don't think thy're doped.Blake was shoked himself

  • @bajinj0 its jsut interesting how all top 3 finishers PR'd by like...2. tenths

  • Comment removed

  • nesta carter, asafa powell, yohan blake and usain bolt...... the 4x100 on england is going to be WOW!!!!!!!

  • commentator said walter Dix time is the 4th fastest in history he's wrong...bolt, yohan, bolt, johnson thats the top 4

  • @lorreacabo 4th man:

    Bolt-Blake-Johnson-Dix

    5th time

It depends if you take 1 time for each man

  • @lorreacabo he said fourth fastest person in history, not the fourth fastest individual time.

  • Judging from my eyes when blake and dix came around the bend at 100m the clock on the field was at exactly 10.00 , that mean he ran the last 100m in 9.2 there or thereabout ...impressive , blake top end speed is killer, he proved it in daegu with an aweful start passing kim collins who flew away from him to win the gold medal, so 9.2 no suprise

  • @Mickeldan2 Yea I agree with your analysis! Assuming Yohan did 10 flat, then his top end was 9.26s, close to Bolt's in Berlin. When he ran 19.19 he did 9.92s and 9.27s. Michael Johnson, for his 19.32, still has the fastest top end speed. He covered the first half in 10.12s but the second half was covered in 9.20s. No matter what though, Usain Bolt ran his 19.19 just before his 23rd birthday and Yohan is almost 22. They're almost the same. Of course Bolt ran faster 100m than Blake at 22.

  • does any1 know where you get the splits of this race plzz

  • @manfredtakem5 Ato Boldon tweeted: ''Ok I'm going to guess since I haven't seen any yet. 10.24/9.02. Sound crazy? Look where he is at 100m. My 1st 100m split might be too fast!''

  • @speedyslime93 thanks man

  • blakes race was even more impressive than bolts. Usain tied up at the end, whereas blake was actually accelerating through that last 100m, scary!! I don't know man, even MJ said that you have to run a blistering first 100m and hope to maintain. Blake did it opposite.

  • @jonesy77777 remember bolt ran four rounds of the 100m which he produce the 9.58 then he ran the 200m rounds and still was able to ran 19.19. bolt in top shape is a sub 19 without the many rounds.

  • @peepsi23 very true and thanks for pointing that out. I think the remarks by Blake after the race bring new light to the false start bolt had. Blake said they had been back and forth in practice, so Bolt knew that Blake was as quick or possibly quicker than him (at least this year), which explains his anxiety for the 100m. I think Blakes season is the best thing that could have happened to track, Bolt can no longer afford to rely on his natural talent, he MUST train and dedicate himself now.

  • @jonesy77777 Good point I totally agree, I think Bolt new he had to get out ahead of Blake early in Daegu. Also agree regarding Blakes good season, means bolt must be on his toes I just wish they got to race each other in Daegu because I think the vast majority just assume Bolt would've beaten him but I think it would've been quite close.

  • @peepsi23 I'm not sure if I agree regarding rounds, at least for the 100m I think running rounds actually sharpens up Bolts race I mean when has he looked better than Beijing, Berlin and Daegu?

  • @Reformed2005 i agree about the 100m thats why i am talking about the 200m which requires more endurance, i agree the rounds do help but it can bring a little fatigue once the conditioning of your body is not in top shape and believe it or not bolt was not in top shape for the 200m in berlin his endurance was much better in beijing. As we all saw in final his last 100m, he lost his form a bit and was starting to tie up at the end and still ran 19.19. In term of endurance he look better in china

  • There's something special going on in jamaica

  • Comment removed

  • I think we gonnah see 18.97s or something in the olympic and i think there is some other spriters that has 19.4 in their system, and since i am a Norwegian i hope to see 19.6s from Ndure :) That would bee cool.

  • So Blake is the 100m World Champe with the WL over 200m and Bolt is the 200m world champ with the world lead in the 100 and they train together. That's some intense competition. Would be interesting to see Blake Bolt Gay in the same race, Blakes probably the only guy capaple of running down Bolt IMO. Walter Dix is the new Frankie Fredericks .

  • @Reformed2005 the problem with Gay he's coming off two long term injure, lets see him make the USA team first, he did not look good in the last US trials....

  • @lorreacabo Yea his injuries are a sign of his age I suspect, was much the same at the later stages of Mo Greens carrier. He's still capable of running fast tho even this year he went 9.79. I think he beats up his body too much so the year off will hopefully allow him to come back fresh in 2012.

  • @Reformed2005 I don't think you should count out Asafa, could still bounce back in 2012

  • @rekarts Not likely.

  • i just read that Blake had by far the slowest start of all

0.1 slower than an average sprinter start

he would have broken the WR if his reaction time better
