Spike Lee is limited by his world view, which is steepted in tribalism. Tribalism in the sense of defining everything as "us" and "them" and being worried about which of those two categories people fit into to the exclusion of other issues. But sometimes he shows potential to grow beyond the limitations of tribalist thinking.
