the fly 2 is criminally underrated it may not be as good as the first film in terms of writing but in terms of special effects its amazing and overall it's an entertaining experience.

Damn right, I love the sound of rain too - very soothing. I had that Aussie DVD of Maniac Cop - your right, it's a pretty crap release. Even the cover is bad - looks like they got some blurry picture off google lol. Day of the Dead is a great film, and the release really does the film justice. Great stuff. It was hard getting used to the traffic. As you may know, I lived in Tasmania, out in the middle of no where. Silent at night, save for animals. Maniac Cop is really cool, liked that film a lot :D.

Whip and the Body is one of my favorite Bava films. Better than some of the movies in the Anchor Bay Bava Box 1.

That's funny, I just bought Beatrice Cenci on a great German DVD too recently and will show it in my coming update.

That From Beyond DVD is a must-have; bought it right when it came out. I've been waiting for it to come out for so long.

Hm, couldn't find any info about Maniac Cop not being released on Blue Underground.

It's funny - when the sun is shining here, you have rain. And when it was snowing here back in February, you were complainig about the untakeable heat down under.

Cannibal Ferox is a much more simple film than C.Holocaust. I bought that DVD too, where did you get it? I paid a fairly high amount of money for it.

That 2-Disc of Day is one of my favorites. I always fear that the moveable thing at the front may get damaged. It's rather frail.

lol, don't get me wrong - I love cold weather. It's in my blood growing up in Tasmania. Cannibal Holocaust I got from DD I think. I think it was around $17 US. I'm worried about the Bub flap on Day too - don't want to tear it. I agree about Whip - really, it should have been in the set. Coolness, I'd like to hear what you thought of Beatrice Cenci. The From Beyond DVD is great - packed with stuff to watch, plus the film look great. Yeah, I just found it weird Maniac Cop wasn't Blue Underground.

Thanks man. was having a crappy day having only just put my foot out of bed only to stand on my glasses and break a lens I thought the day was gonna be a bit shitty. That cheered me up. I got the same Day of the Dead disc. Its very good though I find the 'Bub tab' means you have to be really careful how you store it.

Really? It does have a TV movie feel to it, but I think it's because the budget is low, and Lustig has always been a kind of guerrilla filmaker. I thought the movie was pretty bad-ass. Z'Dar is a veritable killing machine. Is there anything else you didn't like about it?

Yeah, I'm loving the rain at the moment. It hasn't let up for the past few days. Ahhh, can snuggle up in bed now and get all warm while the soothing rain plummets down - heaven! Cannibal Ferox sounds more like a type of movie I would like. Holocaust just doesn't appeal to me because of the animal killings.

Day of the Dead is awesome! I need that special edition.

Cannibal Ferox, while more light-heart, still has animal killings, so I don't know if you'd still want to see it. It reminds me of a cheesy adventure movie. That Day of the Dead Special Edition is great - track one down if you can. You should like From Beyond if you enjoyed Gordon's other word. Great stuff. Thanks for the comment mate.

Really? I know Holocaust they actually killed real animal just to make the movie. I never knew they did the same in Ferox.

It kind of goes with the territory with cannibal films. I think just about everyone I've seen has some kind of animal killing in it. If your not into that kind of thing, it may be best to avoid. If you get the Grindhouse edition of Cannibal Holocaust, you can watch the film in animal cruelty free mode, so maybe you can get that afterall.

I understand that they want to make these films more realistic by killing real animals, but I believe that this could all be done the same way they fake the human killings, thats just my point of view.

Day of the dead! Love it..Night Of the living dead remains my fav though, I love its macabre use of shadows and camera angles u really feel a sense of claustophobia in that house.

Night of the Living Dead is probably my favourite of the series, but I still haven't seen Day of the Dead. My least favourite is probably Land of the Dead. Maniac Cop! I can never find a copy of that film, and ever since I found out Bruce Campbell was in it I've been dying to. Great video James, as usual!

Oh, you need to see Dead. It has great social commentary and takes the series in an interesting direction. My least favourite would probably be Land too - felt a bit uninspired. Maniac Cop is lots of fun - I'd recommend tracking down a copy. I of coarse had to import mine :(. Cheers man.

Yeah, loved the special features on Day - was interesting hearing about how the project was originally planned, how it was much larger in scale. Whip & the Body is great - glad to finally get rid of my old fullscreen DVD. From Beyond had great special effects and a killer cast. If you do get Maniac Cop, the Synapse release is excellent - lots of goodies on the disc. Cheers, my girlfriend got me that hoodie :D.

Yeah, I live in Canada and it was on the Scream channel uncut last night. We have some good uncensored cable channels like that and Drive-In classics. You find some gems occasionally showing like Night of the Creeps and Blood Games.

I've heard a lot of good things about Cannibal Ferox. It's one of those movies that I'm most anxious to get. I also have that Divimax 2-Disc Special Edition of Day of the Dead. Day of the Dead never disappoints me. It's just perfect. I haven't seen The Whip & the Body or Conspiracy of Torture. I haven't seen From Beyond, Maniac Cop, or The Fly II either.

Cannibal Ferox is a really fun cannibal movie. Pretty brutal gore too. It even has an obligatory castration scene! Yay lol! That Day of the Dead edition is just great. The picture quality looks beautiful, and the special features are well done. Thanks for the comment mate.
