I have to disagree. The D is quite strained, but the rest of the aria sounds wonderful. I've only recently warmed up to Alagna's voice after many years of disliking it :)

@drewski67 He's got a great instrument that he uses very poorly- pushing it in all sorts of ways. IF he sings lyrically, it is GORGEOUS. He should be singing lyric repertoire, not celeste aida! But he often tries to make it darker, or sings just plain too loud. The high note here is not terrible- the last note is- it's not relaxed.
