well the guy first showed up as a the smile and eyes on the back of disturbeds album "the sickness" and as that album was about the pressures of society and how it drives people insane and thus the half angry and half insane grin basically a disturbed person i.e. The Guy as he later became, and he was then used in land of confusion as a way of showing mans strains against both society and the ways of government etc. and yes before you say it i know land of confusion is a cover now can we drop it
